Anyone heard any news on a VAFA decision? Would have expected something by now surely
Mr Keano, all Premier section clubs will revolt if a harsh penalty isn't applied, several met last week to decide on a course of action. If you look at the attached below, from AFL Vic, it's clear that Blues have been transgressing on a weekly basis, there is no grey area. They refused again on the weekend to allocate the correct points, thus pushing them over the limit AGAIN. There are well known cases where 6 point players have played at 7 points in other leagues because they are playing in the same comp as their former club.

If it meant that Blues were playing at 41 points or whatever, big deal, but they are clearly over the total caps limit and it is cheating. This is a pisstake and shows a total disrespect for the VAFA and the clubs they compete against.

The VAFA has nobody to blame but themselves. It is the VAFA that should allocate the points to each player. 6 points being the highest that could be allocated to any player.

No, how about following the rules? Is that such a hard concept?

I know at least 7 other clubs are extremely annoyed that one club in Premier section plays by their own rules it seems. Is that enough?

I can't fathom any of the other 9 A Grade clubs would find this acceptable behaviour
Blues are not the only Uni Club. Blacks have won a recent A Grade flag and look certain to return next year and seem to be able to play successfully by the rules!

Although they did win the flag in 2019 and stopped the SKOBAFLBUTMOSTLYALUMNI dynasty, i find it pretty ironic that the team they put out on the park most weeks is full of half-assed blokes who couldn't care less about the result and after all that they'll miss the finals anyway and also potentially be relegated.

APSVAFA Power Rankings

1. OBALUMNI
2. SKOBAFL
3. OXAFL
4. OMAFL
5. SCOTCHSANFL
6. UNIAFL
7. MIRRAFC
8. FIELDSAFL
9. OT
10. ST B

45 (Points) /

If Uni Blues don't get sanctioned for this, what's the actual purpose of a Points System?

Even outside of this case they have some questionable point allocations and are playing at 45 every week.

This affair might break the VAFA bank causing a big hike in fees!
I think this is reason 4 on the Uni Blues top 10 reasons for not punishing them.

1. We are Uni Blues
2. We'll sue the VAFA
3. It's not just us
4. This will break the VAFA bank (see Reason 2)
5. Oops
6. It's not fair...something to do with RMIT students
