I ventured up to Camberwell Sports Ground on Saturday and saw an enthralling game of football between Collegians and Old Scotch. Collegians were on top early, but Old Scotch were far better in the second and third quarters, before Collegians found a bit of a lift in the last quarter, overturned a three goal deficit and just hung on to win in the end in front of a healthy crowd on a lovely day for amateur football.

Old Scotch had plenty of chances, but just couldn't take them, whilst Collegians did, in particular late on in the game.

I know he's been a star of the competition for a while, but Viv Michie was everywhere on Saturday. A big game this week for my lions against Old Brighton. Two undefeated sides going head to head at the Trott with our boys looking to avenge last year's preliminary final loss.
Fully concur with you MO. A perfect day for footy on nicely grassed oval. A good summation indeed. Last years Prelim loss, wasnt it to Skobs?

Geez, there’s tumble weeds blowing through here when Collegians loses, I thought most would be celebrating the thumping of Blues?

Was funny listen to Mr Kanis on the ammo show tonight on the radio, talk about making excuses, Blues did play with 41 points and no less than six ex-AFL players compared to Scotch’s zero?

By the way, people should get on the VAFATV and have a look Mr Mirra’s mark in the last q when he destroyed two OB defenders, unbelievable mark. Whilst they’re at it, they should also check out Mr M Wallis’ goal of the year in the third q vs OM’s.

Must admit I certainly did have a chuckle when I saw the scotch blues result - couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of campaigners

BluesAFL clearly down on cattle. Their lowest Player Points value since records began.

OB just to slick all day..we had plenty of it but just couldnt get clear to settle. Still smiling re: U Blues disaster. I think their chickens are coming home...OS young and quick. Now Gill is out of a job...he may venture down to help...
