i am in this camp as well bar minimum 1 in 5 years but we have the talent for 2 in that timeI see us getting one in the next 4 seasons, and 2 in the next 10.
It seems the club is completely focused on a premiership in the next 3 years, from most of the recent club publications it has mentioned in it that we are going for it all guns in the next three seasons. Hopefully we can pull it off.![]()

To rain on the multiple premiership parades. There have been many dominate sides Essendon 2000. Wce 05 06 etc who have went on to only win one premiership. Being the best side over a long period of time doesn't gaurantee you multiple premierships.
Anyway back to the topic. I don't think we are ready this year there is going to be a real need for transition from Burns Presti Rocca to the likes of J-Mac, Sidebottom Dawes, Reid etc.
2010 will be the real indicator IMO. It may not be when we win one but it is when we are likely to see whether we have placed our chips in the right spot. From then if we have it right there is probably a three to four year window of oppertunity in which we can do any rearranging. If that fails it's back to the drawing board and another long wait.
The problem is WCE and Carlton inparticular will be looking at that period too. Geelong and Hawthorn will still be in thier window of oppertunity too. So how it all works out is still a huge question mark.
If we have a midfield by 2010 we will be much more rounded than WC and Carlton who will still have KP deficiencies

Midfields win premierships these days not KPs. Carlton's vastly superior midfield is why we couldn't beat them this year. We also don't have a KP in the same class as Fevola, so we don't have much of an advantage in that area either.
