Well that was a disappointing way to end our rookie draft, with old Clancee.

I love the King and Spurr selections. Schloithe is a good player, will probably be the one to debut along with Spurr next year. And Menegola has lots to work with too. So not too bad a draft really.

Obviously our recruiters didn't rate the KPPs at all. So I'll trust them on that. We did get Dawson, not often you get a best 22 KPD in the PSD.

Yeah I think we'll be going very tall next draft, just didn't rate the ones in this draft. Not gonna complain about it though we'll see how it turns out. Thought we had a few good selections though.

Zone selections I would have thought, they're allowed extra players on the rookie list from their respective states I'm pretty sure.

well yet again the afl clubs make idiots of us big footy experts.

manson, dobosz, busher, markworth and mitchell all so "highly" rated (maybe not so much mitchell) and all left without a home. goes to show that in reality we know very little compared with the proffessionals... although i do still rate your opinion highly chris ... every year we have a meltdown because of players everyone wants, and every year many of the players dont even get looked at.

im happy with our rookie draft, although i must say im disappointed that we didnt get dick, and that we have another year of clancee mediocrity. still cant complain too much

It's not necessarily Clancee hate, I just don't think he is needed. Especially not after taking Lee Spurr earlier in the draft. If Clancee plays this year, then we are in serious trouble. I'd just rather we started fresh. But like you said, he is working hard and by the sounds of things he earned his spot on the list.

I don't have a recent height for Menegola, just going off pre-draft last year when he was 188cm. So he might have grown more. Ideally, yeah he'd be our KPF. Might be more of a Mayne type though.
