A gf between 2 GC teams should be played at a neutral venue on the coast.

The GF at yeronga- never been a fan. Parking is a nightmare, food unhygienic and very difficult to get. Apart from the little temporary stand they put in its not a great viewing ground either if you ask me, just not enough elevated areas. And with the slope of the ground (obviously for drainage) if you sit down on one side of the oval it's hard to see the players feet and the ball on the ground over the other side.

Personally I reckon grange is the best local ground for spectators in Brisbane. (Plenty of elevation) and broady the best on the coast. Southport pretty good too

Morningside ,,, dont discount them yet, !!!
Due to work commitments I couldnt make it down the M1 to watch my Broadbeach ,,, glad I didnt after seeing the result .. Wow .. Labrador building to peak at the right time of the season ,,,,
So i went to the Morningside vs Magpies game ,,, arrived half way thru the second quarter ... Morningside kicked the last 2 goals of that quarter and in thge second half put the Magpies to the sword.... IMO, the Magpies are top heavy ,, have far to many big bodied players which results in being to slow pace wise in reference to general quickness over the ground.,,,, fleet of foot they say... Yes Magpies can move the ball very quickly ,,, but its a different issue when it comes to the balance of a side being quicker pace wise .....This showed today big time..

come

Essentially an elimination final for Morningside today. No doubt today was the best they have played for a couple of months - much better than last week! Close competition so hard to predict results week to week at the moment, which should make for an interesting final series. But Labrador must be clear favorites.

Assuming Mt Gr and Panthers win next week, then the loser of Sufers vs Magpies game is finished for the season.
Lab vs Pbc winner finishes top as Lab much better % age

If Surfes win they go to 3rd & mostly likely play Palmy in the Qualifying final at PB but if they lose they are out!
Tight finish, virtually the Elimination Final is a week early at Western Magoies v Surfers, will Staker play?

The QLD footy website mentioned one or two QAFL could be coached by X AFL personalities, anyone heard who & where?
Wilston Grange are looking for a coach & maybe UQ, Broady & Sandgate?

While he was only appointed for the balance of 2016 according to the website, they would have to be mad not to retain Nathan Clarke.

Might be a case of the "Paul Roos" though Doddsy - as to whether Clarkey wants to do it. Preseason can be a pain in the arse if living in Landsborough...

As I understand it, he's there every day anyway - as he runs the Simon Black academy whic is located at the Magpies.

Probably the only reason they manged to get him in the first place

So the final home and away round coming up and one would never of predicted the issues of the results come this final home round .. like 1st play 2nd for top spot .. 3rd play fourth , with most likely the winner staying in the final five and the loser missing the finals altogether as one would expect Morningside and the Vultures to win their games ...
I think Labrador will defeat PBC, Panthers and Vultures should win and I think Surfers will defeat the Magpies ... that means the Magpies will miss the finals ,,, but that may well not be the case either ,,, is great for the competition .

The almighty are gone... Morningside losing today to Sandgate is impossible to explain, considering what was on the line...
