I disagree with that. Could you have imagined the uproar if Rankine came back into the country and said nothing. That would have been worse and dumb.

Where the Crows ****ed up was in how they handled the incident. Falsely playing the mental health card to drag on the saga only fuelled the "victim" mentality which is what the Adelaide fans have adopted.

The fact that Rankine might return from calling a player a f*&& to play a GF is just a horrific look.

Adelaide and Carlton are both pathetic weak clubs enabling lying to get a player to play in a GF.

I get clubs will try almost anything - heck we rolled out David Cloke as some sort of character witness for Jason if I recall correctly.

I watched the replay last night, what a fantastic game of footy.
All the boys had ripper games. The pressure was immense from both sides.

Yep...........if you look at what they were saying Bruzzy was mostly saying "it was in play" (assuming initially that Keays had an issue with the tackle.) And Keays was mostly saying "You didn't have to stand over him" . Keays then proceeds to tell every Collingwood player he can find the same thing

I think it's clear now that Rankine should have been given the full 5 weeks. Doubt they make it, but it will be a bad look for Rankine to return in the GF, especially if it's against us. Neutrals would limit the reaction somewhat, but it still would not be good.
