Apologies if this is better placed on the other board as it is not a phantom draft.

I will likely be in a position to do a phantom draft by the start of next week. Should I:

(a) Have players going where I think they'll go on the day? I've heard some whispers about North so don't want to give anything away with some later picks.

or

(b) Simply pick whoever I would choose if I was the recruiting manager of each club?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Can do it either way.

For example if you felt strongly that Butcher should go to North Melbourne with your first pick, but you think that you will pick Cunnington you can use either approach and say "I would like... as my pick because..." or simply go with what you think will happen.

Most go with who they think will happen because they want to ultimately pick the same as the clubs do on draft day, but you can do a bit of a combination or just whatever you feel like.

In my drafts personally I tend to pick who I think will go where, but then leave input as to whether I think there is a better player available or whatever.
