Traditionally, Yellow Cards have resulted in the loss of the ability to start a thread, the ability to 'like' and the ability to access a few boards.

As per the thread that Beerfish linked to, a new infraction system was brought in a couple of days ago. But, evilempire, your yellow was given almost a week ago, therefore it is counted under the old system. In other words, regardless of what conditions apply to yellows given out now, your yellow will have the old conditions attached to it, until it expires of course.

What time can we expect the game vs the giants to finish of it starts at 145? I've got a pregame function at the g starting at 530.

Cutting it a bit fine?
Would give you about 30-45 minutes to get there.

Game should finish at 4.20. If you are catching the train from Etihad to the 'G it will take you around 25-30 minutes. If you have to get to your car and find a park near the 'G, it might take a little longer. But you should make it ok.

Also remember that because of the construction on the bridge between Etihad/Southern Cross, it'll take you about half an hour to walk across.

:(

Need urgent help. On ticketmaster buying tickets to next week's game.

About to complete payment and it says ...
"""Description
Price Category One (P1)
Level 1
Geelong Members' Area
1. Level 1 Reserved Seating on the Wing""

If it's not prompting me for a Geelong membership number or barcode then surely it's ok to buy these tickets???

I got offered that too. That just means you'll be sitting with the Geelong members.

Will there be public reserve seats avaliable later in the week? Don't want to pay $45 for a seat surrounded by Geelong fans when I can get a public seat for $15.

This handling charge is a joke. Odds of me going to the ground on Friday night and getting a seat without the charge?

Hi guys,

I bought a membership for the first time in a few years last week and went to the game against GWS yesterday. Apart from the game I left feeling extremely troubled about some Essendon members/supporters sitting around me.

I understand that there is a great deal of passion towards the club and that is a great thing, however it is disturbing when that passion goes too far and becomes negative and abusive. The supporters sitting around me regularly abused the umpires - even the boundary umpires - regarding their decisions. I personally thought the game was well umpired - Essendon were just very sloppy. I have not heard the kind of abuse I heard yesterday for some time. Also, the abuse directed towards GWS players - especially Tom Scully and Callan Ward was disgusting. I tried to block it out with the radio and very nearly told these people to shut up but instead I left and watched the game standing up. The reason I didn't say anything was that I felt it would be a bit rich for me, as a new-ish member, yet long-time attendee at games, to say something to people whom I presumed to be long-term members. Also, the general negativity surrounding Essendon players was upsetting too. I understand the passion, but the negativity is just not needed.

I am contemplating writing to club regarding abuse of umpires and opposition players if it happens again. Would that be a good idea?

End rant.

When you go to the football, you can know there will be abuse. Fans will be getting angry when umpires pay 10 free kicks in a row against them. When you are 28 points down to a bad team people are going to get angry with their players who are constantly making mistakes. I don't know where you were sitting, but at the GWS cheersquad end I didn't hear much abuse. If it bothers you see if you can get your seat moved to a diffrent area of the ground.

Just because something is, does not mean it should be or indeed has to be. Yesterday there was no instance of a team having 10 free kicks in a row paid against them, and when a free kick was paid against Essendon, from what I could see, it was fair and reasonable.

Despite it being contrived, it is/was umpires' round and people should realise that there is no game without them.

And finally, of course you didn't hear any abuse where you were sitting - there were only about 6 people sitting at that end of the ground.

So are there any seats available for the Geelong game?

I've checked Ticketmaster and it's giving me nothing.

Don't think so, looks like the site's just stuffed.
It would say 'sold out' if there weren't any more seats.
I think the only ones left are level 3 reserved and level 2.
