If we are doing before the game stuff we can just copy Bundasliga with ACDC.

Some short memories in here or maybe many just don't know. We tried the scarf above the head and tifo thing back in 2013, it got to the point where someone contacted the club about it, the idea was approved and encouraged. The first trial was against Collingwood. Unfortunately too many casuals in the cheer squad rejected the idea and made a huge fuss about it because it involved more effort than just sitting down and knitting, so the idea was almost immediately canned.

Yeah I remember. It looked forced and the mcg is too big for it to work when people don't show up.
It works with Port because they sell that place out and it's still all new and exciting. If they ever get into the situation that WC are in with member retention then expect it to wane after a while...

How did it look forced? It was fan initiative lol, nothing forceful about it and hundreds of people did it. It was organised by the cheer squad like it should be, not the club marketing/media team.

The MCG isn't too big for it to work at all, our end is packed out every week, so that's not an excuse.

Random idea out forward, have we ever thought of closing the entire top level when playing interstate teams?
This way it means the 40000 that are there are all on the first too, creating a better atmosphere and better look on TV?

Are we not doing VFL reports this year? Last year a report was done each week giving insight into each player, how they went and the role they played. Would be great to see this again.

Hey mate, we didn't have an ANZAC jumper partly due to the reason you mentioned, but more that we wanted to commemorate our servicemen and women in a different way with the pre-match ceremony.

Right, the android app splash screen is built in three sections - must be pulling the bottom section in from Essendon.

North and Port are having the same issue too - we're all in alphabetical order. It's been logged with Telstra, so we have to wait for them for the fix. Keen to get it off, so will keep pushing.

Will be there for a while yet. They've got until the end of next year in the current broadcast deal, and I think they'll be bigger players in the next one.
