He is Hawthorn through and through. Signing on for success he never saw as a player.

Sounds like he's doing very well in the wine game, which seems to be going against the flow. And it's good to see he credits the influence and leadership of Ian Dicker in following that path. Is a shame that people are not going to rate him given his less than superstar ability as a footballer. People severely underestimate his leadership during a period of massive cultural change at the club. His early adoption, and assistance in implementing Clarkos vision.

Absolutely fantastic decision and I can't think of a greater role model to have at the club. Is absolute living proof that if you embrace Hawthorn, they will embrace you. What an inspiration to have about the place.

Had it before he re-signed with Port so if it was at all linked to Hawthorn he's had his chance.

Wingard is a good player but too much ego and showboating out on the field for someone who goes missing for large periods of games.

Have heard that Burgoyne and club both want him to play on and are in negotiations. This has also sort of been reported in the news though. And that we have hit 75k+ members even though it hasn't been publicly announced yet. That one has been pretty obvious for anyone who's been following the count though.

We have an absolute flog on our board with a disgusting disdain for Lin Jong. Says that he should be delisted from our side immediately. Believes him to be one of the worst players to pull on our jumper. Qualifies his statements by saying "he wouldn't even be rookie listed at Hawthorn".

Was just wondering if you guys could put a number on where he would fit on your list. I believe him to be around 23-26 on ours, and probably anywhere between 25-30 on yours? Agree, disagree? Am I mad and our flog is right and you wouldn't have him as decent depth?

Any opinion greatly appreciated...

Have done, and felt damn good. But curiosity did get the better of me in the end too. Is this your gentle way of telling me he's actually right and you wouldn't have him?

He's caused a lot of division on our board (Jong, I mean. Well, the flog too, but anyway), so curious to see if he's rated at all by other clubs supporters.

I rate Bevo, and Bevo gives him games. Flogposter musn't agree with how Bevo is doing things...

(fwiw my Dogs supporting mate doesn't rate Jong, don't think he posts on BF though)
