Every now and again I get an alert telling me I have won a trophy for something, but what does it actually mean? Does it show up anywhere? Does it give me any extra privileges?
I got one today for having twice as many of my posts liked as I do posts. I'm guessing it's just like an achievement thing to keep people active and behaved on the forums. If they presented school work and awarded grades to kids the same way as they do these forum and game console achievements I reckon you'd see an increase in school performance. Kids luuuurve achievements.

That's the one I got today too

Got one too and went from 39 to 539 points. Me think maybe super bugs? How can we all (well some) get them on the same day?
Actually on closer inspection none of us have got twice as many likes on our posts as we do posts. So perhaps it is a glitch after all. I would've been surprised to have got that many likes on my posts considering the liking feature is relatively new compared to when I first signed up on BigFooty.

Me, too.

60% of the time, it works EVERY time.

Anyone know what the format of the NAB Challenge games will be? Will they be full length games or a shortened version? It also seems there is no "final" as such and thus no pre-season cup awarded to anyone. Shame - how will clubs like Carlton and Adelaide get any satisfaction from the year? ;)

Not a question but something I noted that doesn't warrant a thread. A few AFL players were at the Superbowl; Ablett and Pendelbury and there may have been others. Little video on Hawks TV interviewing some of the players and asking them if they followed it and who they were going for. Lots of interest and a few players said they hoped Clarko would let them train early so they could watch it. Another video on the Hawks website on Monday with the following description attached, "While many were watching the NFL Super Bowl, Hawthorn players were hard at work in the weights room a big session out on the track on Monday in preparation for the 2014 season." So no compromises on training even to watch the Superbowl and it doesn't sound like any of our players were given time off to go over and attend it. Tells you something about the Hawks commitment to season 2014 IMO.

There was a photo of a few of the boys watching the game while eating lunch but idk if they got to watch the rest of it live. If they did they probably had to stay back to do the stuff they missed. It is good that they aren't being slack though!

Bit late to the party but I'm pretty sure it only counts posts after the system upgrade where likes were introduced. I was thinking the same as you.

Why are Swannies supporters so offended towards HFC?

Because everyone knows that we lost it in 2012, they didn't win it
Similar to how we felt in 2008 when everyone was saying the same about the cats
May not be right but that is the general consensus and just like we didn't back then, they don't now

Only just skim read the article in the Australian today about the AFL helping to bail out the weaker clubs. Can anybody explain to me why they are bailing out two of the worst toerag clubs in Richmond & Carlton? Can't these two stand on their own two feet? And in 2014 why the hell not?

But but they're the Big Four right?

But but they're the Big Four right?
All the more reason why they should not have AFL financial help.

But seeing that they are, these clubs & their supporters are living on an over-inflated opinion of their own worth to the competition.

What were we told in 1996? Be competitive or die? Why can't they?

The AFL are modelling our game on NFL but have forgotten one important thing which is that each US state only support one team in the competition with the exception of NY, whereas half of the clubs in our competition are based out of Melbourne which is unsustainable long term

Hey nobody answered my question originally so I shall ask again...

Does anybody know when the Hawks 2014 poster thingy will be out in the Herald Scum this year? :)

Sorry, I don't know either :( Hopefully someone will happen along soon who can tell you or you could try contacting the paper and asking them.
