Apparently we are rated no. 1 for hard ball gets this year, not a bad stat going into a potentially wet game. Collingwood are rated 16th.

If we win by roughly 50 points we should move to 2nd on the ladder. Home qualifying and prelim finals baby!

Expected 10mm of rain today, to go all day

Makes zero sense to go in with four talls in our forward line. If common sense prevails, Tex should be rested and Draper should come in.
I agree that is what we should do. But unfortunately common sense and Matthew Nicks don't always go together.

Tex has wet weather skills. When it's slippery, skill stands out. But yeah, too tall. Not sure who is best to drop. Can't drop Fog or TT.

It's good to see Nankervis settled in on a wing.
Hopefully playing at the MCG, or wingers can see a bit more of the ball this week
Hopefully the team uses Curtin when he offers an option, He played well last time at the MCG.
Curtin is consistently in good positions to receive the ball but is overlooked.
He is definitely playing better than his average possession stat, maybe because the coach has no idea how to play him the team doesn't have confidence in him on the field.

If Curtin is an option GIVE HIM THE BALL it's that simple.

We rank first on raw stats but equal 7th-8th on differential at +0.2 per match. GC number 1 at +4.7, Dogs bottom at -5.2. Pies 16th at -2.4. So difference between Pies and us is less than 1 per quarter. Where we are #1 is post clearance ground ball gets at +7.1 which is double Saints who are 2nd at +3.4. Pies 12th at -1.0, so 2 per quarter. Not sure any of these are knockout punches though, even in slippery conditions.

That’s not how the system works though.

It’ll be fine for the game, stopped raining at 10am and not much on the radar until well after the game. At worst it’ll be very light rain.

Crows get smashed in every stat against Port except the scoreboard, all scribes agree you lose 95 games out of 100 based on those stats and yet no changes made to the team. Is Davis now indoctrinated cause I don't see anything changing now he is on board? Brisbane had no issue in losing him, his loss to Brisbane definitely hasn't effected their performance negatively.
Another dud joins the Crows or this club has very deep rooted issues... Hope I'm wrong and we beat Collingwood.
Surprise, surprise. Nothing has changed. Good to see Davis is earning his wages.

Tex will retire this year. He's had a very good career but it's time to hang them up post finals.

How'd your mob go yesterday ?? 70 odd points was it ??
I'm a Crows supporter, believe it or not. I cannot stand Port Adelaide. The fact is Nicks and his brains trust cannot coach. I wish I could watch a game with just a hint of positivity and expectation that we might win but I cant because the Crows let you down every time. And once again yesterday, they reinforced my pessimism.

Nicks would still have final say. Until he's gone nothing will change.

We appear to have changed our thinking in giving our younger brigade more chances after average games
