Hi all,

Sorry to intrude on your board.
In regards to LRT I really like the way he has kept his place and become an important part of your side..I have some concerns about these constant concussions from head knocks. Do you think time would be now to keep the head gear on for good?
BTW I hope you guys win the flag this year if its not us ( which it wont be )

Well that's nice, at least.

On another note, is there any other sport in the world that needs a weekly show to justify the calls made by its officials?
Probably not, but I think league fans would like one, in the USA they stop and check every decision, I don't think we want to see that

I wouldn't be surprised if he kept it on for the rest of the year at least. That said, last time it was used more to protect his cheek, so given it's not a recurrence of that injury maybe they won't bother at all.

OK, he was standing the mark as usual and then just flipped out and ran towards the player kicking out for no reason. That sounds like a perfectly likely course of action for a professional footballer.

Hmm as opposed to a professional footballer not likely to spin around and punch another unconscious like Hall did to Staker? Yeah that never happens.
I watched it again due to the Judd thing and it was so funny that after he did it and the umpire blows the whistle he throws his arms up and looks exasperatingly at the umpire as if to say "I didn't do anything, WTF you on about??!!" hahahah

If Staker hadn't "tickled" Hall's throat perhaps it would have ended differently.

There is no defending Hall, he lost it in a big way, and was eventually dumped, after exhausting all avenues to attempt to help him. But it's a pretty long bow to draw a similarity from that to tackling a player

Watching the replay for the first time, funny moment in the first quarter where we didn't have a ruckman for a centre bounce, but Cox stupidly bashes it forward when all his midfielders have set up on the defensive side allowing Jack to have an uncontested possession.

Another random observation: At half time when they were showing the Sydney dressing room, there was a group huddle around Leigh Tudor including McVeigh, Jack, Bolton, Goodes, O'Keefe, Smith, Richards and Shaw. Now Tudor may be the midfield coach but the presence of 3 backmen would indicate this wasn't a midfield coaching session. Then it hit me, this is the leadership group (minus Jarred Moore of course)..

Can you publish this and sign me a copy?

Was there some mystery over who was in our leadership group this season?

o_O Sydney NEVER gets home ground crowd lopsided free kick counts do they.......

I will say it again. Your whinging about the umpires is taking focus away from a great win...cheap Sydney whiners.
Go Eagles...Good to remember our last premiership was against SYDNEY. But I suppose we won that one because of an imbalance free kick count?!!:p

I know the feeling, I was with a bunch of Eagle supporting friends after the 06 Grand Final. They were complaining constantly about the umpires...................after winning the Granny.............weird.

It was still a good win. Adelaide didn't smash them any more or less than we did, so take that as a positive sign. Adelaide are a very good team this year even if the Vic media keep putting down their good form to a "soft" draw.

Well it took over a week but the Weagles fans who like to tell other fans to suck it up are up and about calling our ruck tactics cheating tactics on the main board after NIc Nats poor fortnight.... As always no one can outplay them there's something more sinister afoot.
