Out: Atkins
In: Lynch

Atkins hasn't been great over the first few games. Simply didn't get enough footy in the Richmond game. He comes out for Lynch.

If Brad Crouch is fit, I'm not sure who to drop. Knight (didn't get much) a possible candidate. Lyons was good so not sure he's worth dropping

Atkins 9 touches and 3 tackles
Knight 10 touches and 1 tackle
Lyon 21 touches 2 goals.

I think knight goes out for lynch.
If crouch is good he comes in for Atkins.

I saw the stats too, but I think Knight gets a second chance, whereas Atkins hasn't been great for three rounds now

Yeah - if we can be honest about it, McGovern deserves to head back to the 2's. He's exciting but he's still really green.

Knight out for Lynch and Atkins out if Crouch gets up. Milera was quiet but hopefully we stick with him as he always does something special when he gets it.

Atkins was excellent R1, average last week, ordinary this week.

Lynch back for Knight.

Atkins in the frame if any other changes

The only issue with Crouch and Lynch in for Knight/Atkins (agree is most obvious choice) is that we have 1 more inside player and 1 less outside runner/quick ball mover - and we know The Don wants us to be a fast side.

This is where a McGOvern could basically be swapped for Lynch with Crouch and Cameron coming in for the other 2 if Cameron shows form.

Different structure to what we selected before late outs but we're replacing a 3rd tall (McGovern) with an inside mid/HFF (Lyons) so the structure pace/ball movement wise remains.

However I think The Don likes the versatility of the extra tall in McGovern.

Will be really interesting selection

Atkins had 1 less effective touch than Mackay. I missed most of the first half but Mackay seemed to be at a lot of stoppages but only snagged the 2 contested touches going at 60%. Based on the last half, I reckon we could throw a blanket over Lyons, Rat, Mackay and Knight for who might go out if Brouch and Lynch return. Shooter maybe as well, but again, he's a bit different, so hard to predict. Lyons would be unlucky, but he'd be used to it. I'd continue backing in the kids to improve and they're providing enough for mine.

Lyons was very decent today, one of our best mids. He would be very, very unlucky to miss

Knight and Rat really didn't contribute to this much today.

Actually disagree pretty hard. He and Milera both have been exciting and this is the time to cut their teeth. Dropping them at the first chance will do more harm than good. He wasn't noticeably bad today, surprised that's your read.

"Excellent" in R1 is a huge overstatement. He was average and below his best.
