If we've already got Curtin who is severely underdone and managing minutes, I'm not sure we should be bringing Ah Chee straight in after not playing for nearly two months.
To be fair Ah Chee hasnt had as much time off his legs as Curtin did, and he got through MOST of the pre season.

Its a tricky one though thats for sure.

I think that we will select the best 23 available players, just like every other week.

I would prefer to manage a couple of players and not rush back Fog and Ah Chee. We must win the next two matches to keep our season alive and North Melbourne will not be an easy win.

If we can get to the bye at 7-6 and have most or all of our players ready to go after the break, we might start to play some decent footy.

Interesting that Stevic has been dropped from all games this week.
Read into that what you will.
The other 3 maggots are all doing games other than ours.
We'll probably get a good ride against the easybeats this week for show, then it's back to normal rogering after that.

What frees was he involved i ?
How often do umpires follow the same team each week?

Fog is fine to return - he’s only missed a month and a 70% match fit Fog better than a 100% Maley

Ah Chee on the other hand needs a week or two in the sanfl - he’s had three hammy’s since joining the club and need some continuity
I'd give Ah Chee another week's rest. Just train and manage his loads but no game. Err on the side of caution after that injury

Thank you for your feedback.

1) Toby Murray plays purely as a tall forward. We usually play three tall forwards. Tex is injured. Fog is returning from a 6 week break and looked awful in his 3 matches this year (shaggers back), a week in the Twos makes sense. Thilthorpe is also struggling with his back but is likely to play.

Who would be your second tall forward if not Turray? We need Nick Murray to replace Butts.

2) Would you suggest increasing McAndrew’s ToG and using Turray as our second ruck? That puts even more pressure on Thilthorpe. In a perfect world we rest Thilthorpe this week.

3) Playing ROB is purely to ensure McAndrew is in good nick for the North Melbourne match. I wouldn’t object if we gave him a week off, the Tiger rucks are very, very thin.
We could always play Dan Curtin as a roaming half forward. He will have blown the cobwebs out last week and is a marking machine normally so could take that second tall forward role. Play fog at FF and T Murray in the forward pocket.

For me

Out Tex/Butts/Taylor

In Nurray/Ludo/Draper.

I think Fog and ANB needs an SANFL run.

Ludo probably the most ready out of Mrash/Ludo/Cotton to play AFL .

Get Draper in the AFL side....

Unlucky on Taylor.
Thats left field ludo..but stranger things have happened and its not unheard of for players to actually rise to the occasion when stepping up a level. I'd feel better if we had fully fit thilthorpe and fog in the key posts so ludo only needed to be the 3rd wheel at this stage though

Id prefer a small fwd line with just RT while Turray is rucking than playing ROB.

Rachele, Rankine, Keays, Pedlar, ANB and Thilthorpe.

Nick Murray can also go forward for a but, Woz, Borlase and Max should be able to handle their talls for a few mins a quarter

Drop Bond to EMG (Jones should be nowhere near) and bring in Dawson

And ANB should be rested, bring in Edwards.

The Bye for us is Round 12, so let's hope for 6-5 at worst.
7-4, even better.
Yep, my bad, I meant 6-5. Based on history and comparative form of the clubs, the chance of a win this year in Launceston is close to zero.

Since the start of 2023 Hawthorn are 11-1 playing in Launceston. There is however some hope in that statistic.

I hope they don"t rush Fog back.

Seen enough of Maley to know he is Nick Gill 2.0.

Ludo is next in line.

Turray showed last week he can play forward. In a less crowded forward line. And he is a good second Ruck.

What concerns me with our forward structure is what happens when Tex and Fog are back.

Do we go back to four big guys?

Or make the tough call that Tex/Fog dont play in the same 23.

Or drop Turray and RT Rucks?
