When have I sided with him? I just choose to look into some of the things he says a little deeper and find him entertaining.

Also, you're putting words in my mouth. I've never said anything about Sandy Hook or Alex's stance on it - he was completely wrong, just like another regular he would have on that said the Boston marathon was a "false flag" 15 minutes after it actually happened. Jones was completely wrong and I don't agree with it at all. I just find it strange that everyone says "ignore Jones he's always talking rubbish" and then next minute "how dare he say that, burn him". Which is it? It's convenient to listen and ignore him whenever it suits. Zero consistency.

Like all media, 0.01% actually care and show sympathy. The rest just use it to push their agenda (in that situation he went into conspiracy overdrive and it was completely wrong). - I don't know enough about the illuminati to comment on it. I reserve judgement until I read information myself. Which is different to your approach of - "sounds crazy. must be crazy. you're/he's crazy".

You know what's interesting tho ... all of these Alex Jones types bang on about 9/11 being a conspiracy to undermine their freedoms and destroy America or whatever and spent a shitload of time doing it.

All the while PATRIOT acts, anti terror legislation and other form of genuine governmental destruction of freedom took place and they kept going on about 9/11 being a conspiracy instead of the actual destruction of their (and our) actual freedoms in the name of state security.

If they'd put one tenth of the effort into resisting what was actually happening that they did into banging on about increasingly wild claims of bullshit then the US (and the rest of the western world) would be in a healthier state today.

What started as something to shed light on what appeared to be government cover ups, mostly of incompetence, the so called "deep state" and some possible criminal activity turned into stories about the towers being demolished, then to no planes at all, then god knows what. The whole thing got so clouded with bullshit so quickly that its tempting to think there might have been something in the original questions about cover ups and incompetence.

That's 90% of what Jones talks about - censorship, taking away freedom, government. It's why he went nuts at the google CEO at the hearing recently. Facebook before that. Dorsey and why he was having a tiff. Trump for not looking at section 230. Australia passing the law last year that allows government to back door any tech company whenever they feel like it. Australia for threatening 10 years jail if you don't hand over passwords if the authorities ask. 9/11 is hardly ever mentioned anymore (only with the recent hack and the hackers asking for Bitcoin). Doesn't mean it isn't an interesting discussion. There are so many holes in that incident and as you said government has used it to take our privacy. The MSM threw all of us under the bus too by sweeping so much of it under the bus. They get locked after and get the money.
