You guys could do with a legit key forward. love the rest of your side. Perhaps take the Podsiadly route and grab a big key forward from the VFL/SANFL?
 
John butcher

John butcher from P.A is out of contract and reported on tonights afl 360 wants too leave.
Wants too go too a team on the up. He has only played the 2 games but what i seen of him looks alright
What do you guys think should we have a crack at getting him

yes the last puzzle we need get him before St Kilda or Melbourne do. His family all supported St Kilda, so we should offer him something good, where Jeannie Pratt we need her to talk to him and show the club history and success.

Love the reasoning... His family barracked for St. Kilda therefore we should offer him something good. What if he had have barracked for the Bulldogs? Collingwood? ;):p
 
I would love to see butcher in navy blue next year. I find it funny that some on here want to trade hampson and our 1st or 2nd pick for butcher when two years ago port offered us pick 8 (butchers pick) for hampson and we wanted more. Has hampson not developed or gone backwards in the last years?

Trading Gibbs could be a good idea, we can cover him in the midfield and walk away with ready to go tall forward and pick 4 that we can use on either wingard or longer. The added bonus of piss the crows of for not trading Gibbs to them (pay back for stealing Jacobs)

Does any1 genuinely believe we are a good chance at landing a big name in terms of a KP player? I know the season is still 5 or 6 weeks from being over but I haven't really heard us being linked to any players

For mine, Gibbs is taking the next step towards being the third superstar at the club. Questionmarks hung over him earlier, but I think these are quickly disappearing. Is a year younger than murph, and has taken him this long.

2012 will be hIs breakout year. I think we will have a similar, albeit not as tough, multi position player a la Luke hodge.

There is no way he should be traded.

Can play anywhere from FB to FF, and everywhere is between. Is extremely versatile, and talented.

He seems to have been bred to be a sweeping Goddard-style player.

People have been commenting on how Gibbs will be our version of Goddard for a couple of seasons now. The player that you can drop into a hole on the field that does the job in front of them. Much similar to what Kouta used to do for us. While Gibbs isnt quite the same sort of player as Kouta, I reckon that Gibbs will play a similar role for us going forward to #17

They offered us pick 9 so that they had first choice and would have chosen Butcher.

I'm not going to bother with the Gibbs trade because he is a star and will be elite by next season.

I've watched him enough.

He's got a truck load of talent and can take a nice contested grab. He along with our Walker, Waite, Garlett and Betts would make a lethal forward line.

Personally, I'd be willing to take a punt on him becoming a star and he's still only 20-21.
 
we need more big forwards what about Aaron Cornelius from bris , cullum wilson from wc , jorden lisle from haw or ryan schoenmakers (was drafted as a forward) shaun mcKernan or taylor walker adel and mabe jessie white from syd .
all player that may be looking for more games that could help with depth (are the right size)and would not cost lots of frist round pick .
what do people think ???
