Look what he did was despicable.

But these charges were a joke. They were arguably had no legal basis, no evidential basis and were a result of a purely politically motivated Royal Commission where Rann Judge shopped to find the outcome he wanted and Pallaras prosecuted because he's gradually lost the independence he started the job with.

I truly feel for the widow whose not only been subjected to the wrongful death of her husband but has since then has had to repeatedly endure events such as today due to the political considerations of Rann and co
 
Got my copy of the 2010 SANFL Season guide today - for $25 (plus postage if you want it delivered) it's fantastic. Contains lots of great stories, all the stats for each club and SANFL ground, and a comprehensive history of the SANFL (including all SANFL records from 1907).

Available from the SANFL, SANFL clubs and a few other places.

The SANFL have also released their ad for 2010 with the motto 'Your Tribe is Calling'. IMO it's has a good build up, then nothing.

Bit of love on the footy show for our club tonight.... Gary Lyon tipping us as a smokey at $10 for the flag, Browny naming Vince as his Brownlow medallist and Lyon again saying Tippett will take home the Coleman. Always good to see some recognisition from outside the club, even though Lyon has been a known Adelaide fan since his article when we were on a roll last year.:thumbsu:

Are you kidding??? Before last season Lyon always seemed to HATE us and at every chance took a dig at us (or just completely ignore the fact that we existed)! Then he discovered a major love for Dangerfield and has had nothing bad to say about us since. But before last year, he did not seem to have a soft spot, but now he sticks up for us.

It's nice to hear someone think we'll be Premiers, Vince for the Brownlow and Tippett for the Coleman, but I'm not sure I like them putting it out there - The Advertiser puts enough pressure on us, don't really want Vics to put that same pressure on us, especially after all our pre-season injuries...:eek:

No... I thought he always used to tip us a lot when the others wouldn't. Maybe I am mistaken?

And I don't think the club worries about what the Advertiser says let alone the Footy Show.

I would concur with your thoughts.

Lyon has been on the bandwagon for a while now!
 
This morning there was complete chaos on basically every arterial road north of Gepps Cross.

It started about 2am, when the cops (in a pursuit) took out an innocent vehicle at the intersection of Elder Smith Rd and Salisbury Hwy, Mawson Lakes - http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/cop-car-crashes-in-high-speed-chase/story-e6frea6u-1225842648117.

The result was that intersection (and parts of both roads) were closed (and still are closed) while the cops investigate this mess. Basically Salisbury Highway, Martins Rd, Kings Rd, Pt Wakefield Rd, and Main North Road (where there was a separate accident) were bumper to bumper (Salisbury Highway was backed up all the way to Salisbury - 6km+ traffic jam).

As a result it took 90 minutes to get to work instead of the usual 30-40 minutes! :mad:
