3 Minutes into our basketball grand final I have 6 points on 3-4 shooting, 4 rebounds and two blocks, we're up 8 and I do my knee, cartledge tear, we lose. ****.

Apparently someone had a heart attack.

I hope they're alright too!

Ummm, was talking to a friend today who sits in a bay close to that area and she said she saw a lady fall over and hit her head on the steps. A heart attack could explain how and why she fell. Apparentilly MMM said the same thing.

Going to go to the Basketball tonight - Australia V Argentina at the Dome. Pretty pumped, hoping I can get tickets at the gate and not via the 'Pro Tickets' website.

On another note how miserable has this weather been ! Good to get some rainfall though.

Only 4500 tickets have been sold so you'll have no probs getting them at the gate.

I love it how Proticket get you regardless of where you buy your tickets - if you buy online they slug credit card fees on you, if you buy at the gate, they charge you extra.

I also find it interesting that it is cheaper to get tickets to see the national side play than it is to see the 36ers!

Thanks mate..And yes a very good point about the pricing hah.

Hoping to catch a glimpse of Bogut as he's in One HD's commentary team

Got in within about 2 minutes yesterday, great game and atmosphere (crowd was just under 5000). Got a photo with Steve Carfino and also Brett Maher (No Bogut unfortunately), as well as a couple of random Argentina players.

The best part though - sitting in front of me were none other then Tippett, Walker, Griffin and Hentschel.

Nice, a23 :thumbsu:

I'm sitting here overlooking sunny Brussels, Belgium at 7:45AM local time, just a beautiful sight :thumbsu: Of course, after my fiancee complaining at me for 9 months how bloody cold this place is, when I arrive it's over 30 celcius. I thought European summers didn't get this hot  Really lovely place though.
Europe gets quite hot
especially down on the Mediterainian (cbf checking spelling)
Belgium though, 30 degrees seems quite hot for that area

ps. Head across the border to Netherlands/Holland (whatever they call themselves)
marijuana is legal :p

Yeah, I guess I just figured Belgium isn't exactly a long way south of London, where I landed smack in the middle of summer to find it bloody raining

Won't be heading down there Riggs but I will find my way to Spain, Portugal and France over the next few weeks :thumbsu:
Being in Brussels, you could go and watch the Tour de Frog live this weekend. Sunday's stage finishes there, Monday's stage starts there and Tuesday's goes not far to the south of the city.

Come Sunday I'll be in Madrid. I'm not really sticking around in any one place for any real period of time during this whole trip. I'm back in Brussels on Wednesday again

I missed the game but at least you got to see a better contest as the first two matches were ordinary. Argentina are looking towards 2014/18 though so have sent a bunch of kids over.

Patty Mills dominated though. :thumbsu: Would love to see the great man get more minutes at Portland next season.

Also the northern burbs are nowhere near as bad as some people are suggesting. The hood ST and I roll in is pretty rad and housing prices keep going up.

cmndstab Are you going to catch the Crows game somewhere ?

It will depend a little bit on when the match is played, but probably not. I will get ahold of the replays when I get back to Australia and watch them to varying degrees (if we get absolutely smashed I may kind of skip passages of play though ) but I want to take advantage of the small amount of time I have here.

Crows play at approximately noon here on Saturday so it's possible, but after not having seen my fiancee in nine months it'll only happen if she hasn't prepared her presentation for Madrid (which is why we're going there on Sunday) and needs to do last minute work instead of us going out and having fun. To be honest though, leaving it to the last minute does sound a lot like her :D

hah well you'll have to let us know what happens.

Pretty bummed that I couldn't get ANZ Championship Grand Final tickets this morning (Only single seats left I think). They must've sold pretty fast, it's at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre so that's pretty impressive. Perhaps the T'Birds should be sponsoring the Power, as they have sell out games and success!
