Saying that, I didn't buy DVD's or music albums before hand either.

I remember buying CDs fifteen years ago, Top 40 was $29 and special stuff was like $33. I go to the movies now, ticket is $18. Take the partner, $18. We buy a Coke and a couple of choc top ice creams, $10 (that's if I can find a movie that's actually worth paying that much to see). I go to the pub, order a pint of Coopers Pale (pretty much can't drink anything else), $6. Bowl of wedges, $8. Ever see the original Blues Brothers movie? One of the best scenes is Alan Rubin trying to get Jake and Elwood out of his restaurant, he says "the soup here is ******* ten dollars". Good luck finding soup somewhere less than $10 now.

Grrrr. Getting all angry about inflation.
