Melbourne (MCG) - must win
Sydney (SCG) - should push them, I've got it as a loss
Gold Coast (Marvel) - must win
Adelaide (MCG) - unlikely, but geez it would be sweet - probable loss
West Coast (Marvel) - likely loss
Richmond (MCG) - they're starting to get players back, and will be building towards finals, probable loss
St Kilda (MCG) - must win
Geelong (GMHBA) - if they're clear on top who knows what they'll do at the selection table, still likely a loss

Those three wins are the baseline. Gets us to 15th on the ladder if other results go the way I'm expecting. They're all effectively 8 point games, being against other bottom 6 sides. Win and we jump teams, lose and we slip too far behind. Also have us two games and percentage behind the Doggies in 14th, so unlikely to get any higher.

Beating the sides we should beat is a must, can't keep dropping intensity in those games.
Push a few higher sides and show that we're getting close to their level.
Get one "surprise" win against a top 8 side and generate some buzz.

Brisbane (2018) - 5 wins, 89%

2-4 more wins and we've exceeded what they managed, and there's the selling point to someone like Coniglio.
Saw Sinclair might be out for the Swans. For some reason he always plays like an AA against us.

Dislocated his shoulder twice, from what I heard. A chance he misses two games, but probably a decent chance he gets up. They should still be without Buddy though.

Pretty good chance Darcy Cameron comes in and plays the game of his life, just to fuel the "played a good game against us" narrative.

What I'm reflecting on is the gritty and determined efforts for the boys over the last month (since Bolton departed).
We have beaten two teams that are pushing for the final 8....and would have looked at us as 'easy beats' and rightly so.
But I believe we've turned that on its head. Teams shouldn't take us so lightly considering the resurgence we have seen on the field (within games).
The team is showing 'cohesion' and a willingness to work for and with each other.
We showed this against the dogs a couple of weeks back also - oh so close.

If the bottoming out is behind us(and I get the feeling it has)....GIDDYUP!!!

Go Blues!!!

I actually thought this was really smart by Kennedy. Not the swinging out and snapping while players were distracted part, but I reckon he had a feeling that the umps could give a free against his guys got too silly. He quickly played on and kicked the goal before the umps even had the option. An underrated moment imo

And to think I was gonna have a shower and go to bed when there was 10 minutes left. Shame on me!

Don't be hard on yourself. It's how we've been conditioned over recent years. Typically, once the opposition has got their noses in front in the last quarter you could safely put your glasses down. "Ah well, at least the boys had a crack..."
I was the same; unable to watch the match on telly, I stopped checking the scores about halfway through the final quarter. After all, it was Freo, in Perth, tails up, home crowd behind them, etc... Later, wondering how much we had lost by, I had a peek and I was like "WTF?!!! We ****ing WON!!!"

We all have to adjust to this new will to win that our young warriors have discovered from within themselves. Isn't it glorious?! :D

He was essentially playing Cuningham's role last night. Got some score involvements which was good, and a nice goal himself. Obviously doesn't have Cuningham's crumbing nous.

Just filled a role for us.

This is what i'm liking under Teague...the ability to adjust and just play a role for the team.
Cunners a late out, Dow is able to play his role and do OK.

In-game, Fyfe got off the chain so switched Ed with JSOS which worked.
With Curnow's injury, that's two forwards we had planned for going into the game not there.

I reckon we ended up playing guys like Kennedy & Dow up forward for a higher % of the game because of it to fill the void.

The coaching and playing group were able to adjust to these in-game situations, not to mention dealing with no Cripps, McKay & Cunners in the first place, plus Cas going back to the forward line and doing well straight away etc.

We just look so much better organised and confident under Teague so far.

:D
How good is Jack ******* Silvagni.

So happy right now I could cry!

Dunno, has no tank, is not quick, not a forward, not a back, not a midfielder, not good overhead ... only on the list cuz of his Dad.......

Yesterday didn't happen

:D

According to zeggie Teague has only just started the level 4 coaching course so we shouldn't get carried away...

Barker has completed it... let's get him in! What a world we live in eh.
