When you next see Lochie, give him a boof on the head for me - cracking game. Loved his little scuffle on the boundary too, love seeing the young blokes getting stuck in.
he has no right to be afussin' and fuedin' with large footballer types on a public arena - tell him that but.........

This level 4 thing is a load of rubbish imo. It was created and has been pushed by the AFL, so I don't put any value in it at all. It would help the coaches find teams because the AFL is pushing it that way, but in terms of real improvement in coaching performance... I don't think it makes much difference. Like NDNBS said, even Barker has it.

Just gimme the best coach, level 4 or no.

Don't know if its been mentioned, didn't venture here yesterday, How good was LOB flying the flag ... ****ing hairs deadest stood up on end when he engaged the Freo bloke over the boundary line.

😍😍

Jones slotted back in nicely, like he never missed any games. He is very good at footballing.
after that collision I'd be unlikely to go outside the house again let alone smash back into packs the way he did yesterday - we really need to acknowledge the differences between him and me...........

According to zeggie Teague has only just started the level 4 coaching course so we shouldn't get carried away...

Barker has completed it... let's get him in! What a world we live in eh.

Is it possible that completion of the level 4 coaching course is a bit overrated? That natural coaching ability could still be the most important attribute in an aspiring coach?

I missed the second half of the second quarter and a lot of the third cos of work but I loved the grunt work of the whole side today.
Murph was brilliant and there's no way we should do a Hawthorn on him.
Samo is going to be a star, no doubt about it. Takes no .... either.
Kennedy played a good game. Stats aren't always everything but quality goals are priceless.
We all know who played great games but I thought Thomas was crucial when it mattered.
He loves kicking a goal but I reckon he also loves this club too!

Liam Jones was an interesting one.
He set up a lot of attacking moves from the centre/wing areas with his marking, spoiling and general contested work.
He's very damaging there when we play like that cos of his long kicking.

CAS! Some great contests allowed smaller blokes to do their thing.
Both Jones and Casboult must be on the list for next year.
Going to be hard to trade people to get others in when we play quality attacking football like that.

PS - Best part of the win? Might mean the door slammed shut on Lyon?
**** I love this club!
stop me if I'm out of line but you seem to be putting employment, career, family security and other peripheral issues before your football club?

Dislocated his shoulder twice, from what I heard. A chance he misses two games, but probably a decent chance he gets up. They should still be without Buddy though.

Pretty good chance Darcy Cameron comes in and plays the game of his life, just to fuel the "played a good game against us" narrative.

I was at that game and I thought he was gone for all money after the first. Might have a shoulder like Kennerly.

I guess I'm not ready to jump on his bandwagon yet. Obviously most ppl disagree with me. But I'm still not convinced. But that's cool it would be boring if we all agreed with each other. The only constant in these threads is our luv for the blues.

agree with me on everything at once!!

Can we have more on the Simpson, Murphy and Thomas should retire this week please.

Still think Simmo is getting pretty close.

Thomas should absolutely be going around again.

Murphy - it's so damn divisive! This game was one out of the box, and is honestly what our young squad has been crying out for as far as on-field leadership goes pre-Cripps. If Marc can continue to impact games this dramatically every second or third week, there's a spot for him for sure. He's looking a bit more solid around the chest at the moment, so hopefully Russell is working on getting his body to a point where he can take a few hits. Need to see more of this from the great man though, because his worse games (skill and impact wise) have been pretty damn ordinary. Would love to see him on the big stage if this turns out to be a bit of a renaissance.

There's only so much you can learn in a one-size-fits-all course.

Warming to Teague, but we definitely need to address the assistant coaching structure if we go that route.

Barker out, find someone with a real grasp on modern midfield craft to replace him.

Adopt a similar model to Collingwood where the assistants are responsible for a line, plus a whole-of-team skillset.
