Well done girls, great effort to win the game.
Really kept up the pressure and effort in the last, shows good character.
We've got some good young talent and a couple of solid older players who seem to be starting to gel a bit more.
Ashmore had a massive game off the backline, Gilroy deserves a special mention too, did a couple of good intercepts and runs and a massive 470 metres gained.
Our centre 4 of TLR, baskaran, fleming and bates really stood up, even after bates had a quiet first half. She really turned it around in the 2nd half was a tackling and clearance beast, exactly why we brought her in.
Eardleys grown into her body and is no longer getting rag dolled week to week and also had impressive metres gained out of the backline.
Stratton and bodey both looked good up forward. We really need to see some better work around the contest in the forward line, we had a few aerial contests where the ball went to ground and we seem to be lacking someone to crumb those forward contests a bit better than how we are right now, but that will come in time.
Thought we had a Good solid team game all around. Will build confidence for next weeks challenge against the tigers.

Spot on. This is what happens when you accelerate the development of 15 year old kids in the umpiring space. No understanding or feel for the game. I ask you this, would this happen in the AFLM space? No way it would, so why is this tolerated in the most elite women's footy space?

I think he meant poor umpiring decisions around the boundary lines. Had more than a few incidents this last season in the mens which were horribly wrong.

Poor umpiring is across every comp in the nation, but accelerating 15 year olds in the highest possible level in the female space is the issue I was referring to. Lots of people get excited by this, but the reality is you get some very dodgy decisions because these kids have no understanding of life or the game.

How on earth did Bodley and wheelman get back on? What a joke that’s the quintessential not let them back for head trauma. Clearly the afl not worried about women’s legal cases.

That was a howler, but even not including that, you see it several times per weekend, where a boundary umpire makes a call, only for the field umpire to come rushing in "are you sure?" Calls in several others, and completely disregards the one umpire who was closest.
Used to happen with goal umpires too, although that's been mitigated by the disaster that is the video review
