Insane fun tonight D_K/Eagles and Eskimo. Most amount of fun I've had online since LBP, which is saying a lot. Were some very good lulz.

The free roam is just so much fun. There's a few things that could be in there just to add even more, like being able to purchase upgrades and such in stores or whatever and also if trains were in, that would be insanely hilarious. But other than that, there's a heap to do if you want.

The throwing knife shit that me and Eskimo were doing had us dying of laughter and we were just doing that for around 2 friggen hours! We had horses lying dead EVERYWHERE and there was enough blood to fill a Saw movie.

I love driving un-wanteds out of our game too. Just constantly shooting them.:D Even though Guido just didn't want to leave and had to be kicked.:p

Hopefully the upcoming co-op modes can still incorporate the open world into the game and not be fairly linear like what GTA IV's were. Because then the options for fun doubles!

Anyone found a better horse than the War Horse. I keep trying new ones but they're never as good.

Also has anyone noticed the achievement for winning a fight in every saloon is called "Fightin round the world" :D

Only glitch i've had so far is when i hogtied a guy laying next to a cactus. Went to pick him up and he disappeared, and i was stuck running around with an imaginary body on my shoulder. Looked like i was giving the lleyton hewitt duck constantly till i reloaded.

Amazing game.

Much more so than GTA, I find myself just wandering off to look around, taking small challenges or just doing random shit. It is ridiculous how good this game looks.

Is it just me or is it harder to kill randoms and then get away like in GTA?

Very hard to stop playing this game.

The first cougar encounter for me scared the crap out of me. I was riding on a nice quiet ride north of Armadillo (sp?) through the train tunnel and out of no where a cougar drop down from the top of the tunnel entrance, makes its loud screeching noise, hits the ground and dies. Took me a couple of minutes to figure out what had happened, and to skin the thing.

I love sitting up on top of a hill overlooking whatever the fort is that Williamson is in at the start, and hunting the cougars. You can see them wandering around, and you can creep closer before taking them out. Sometimes though they see you first and its a matter of making sure you've brought you A game!

Is there anyway into the Tall Trees area, or Mexico? Or do you have to complete so many missions before they open like other GTA's? I havent tried a heap but have found myself trying to jump the barriers on the bridges, only to find myself and my horse dead in the river below.

You have to join up with the Marshall after you get the gatling gun and attack the fort. Then Bill gets away and you chase him to Mexico.

What's multi-player like? Can you team up with anyone and do all the missions together/explore?

This game is very good, The best game this year so far, I just ran through a burning barn and the fire was pretty cool :thumbsu:

I rate Mass Effect 2 just above it for GOTY so far, but it's still a sick game.

So what weapons are people using. It's pretty early on, but i've been using the springfield rifle a bit lately. Rate of fire is slow, but has huge knockdown compared to the Winchester repeater

yeah I'm using the rifle too but it will be between Mass Effect 2 and this for GOTY I think. Both very good games:thumbsu:

Pretty much. I've really enjoyed Free Roam with my friend so far. I haven't tried out the other MP modes. You don't do the single player missions but there are computer generated missions/activities to do.

Anyway, RDR rapes GTA. I love just going for a ride on my horse and seeing what I encounter.

I think honor causes the bigger change to how NPC's deal with you.

There's advantages to being good and bad. Good honor gets you discounts most places, and cops turn a blind eye unless you do something really bad. Bad honor gets you discounts at dodgy places like thieves landing and people are scared of you and won't act as eye witnesses if you do the odd bad thing.

Like most of these games i'll probably be the good guy, then go bad in the second playthrough

So are the activities exclusive to multi-player or are they same as the ones you get in single player?

Just unlocked the second level of deadeye and I really prefer the first level where you can pick where you shoot more easily.

Other than that this game is up there with some of my favourites of all time so far. There's a select few games where the time just seems to seep away and you don't even realise it (HalfLife 2 and the Diablo series are two others that spring to mind for me).

online is just as fun as the single player game. but make sure you have some others with you.

Need to get access to the Tall Trees and Great Plains areas before you can knife bears (which will maul you before you knife them) but you need to be a significant way through the game before that happens.

Throwing knives. Awesome.

I love throwing them at people who you can't aim at but if you throw close enough can still hit them, Marsden's wife will never be the same again.

Had about 10 knives sticking out her heard and just wouldn't die, threw some dynamite at her BOOM!

Still not dead, got the fire bottle out and she died but then I fell over dead and it restarted from my last checkpoint because I killed a family member.

She had it coming.

Not really knowing how the missions pan out eventually. I'm guessing they're MP exclusive missions.

When you enter free roam you can look on the map and there will be several "gang hideouts" and when you get to them you'll have to face about 15 enemies, once you take them out there's often re-inforcements and once they're all cleared you might have an objective (at one you have to get a mine cart, at another you have to blow up containers).
