Also has anyone noticed the achievement for winning a fight in every saloon is called "Fightin round the world" :D

So are the activities exclusive to multi-player or are they same as the ones you get in single player?

Hm, I probably didn't explain clear enough.
MP free roam isn't really like a co-op version of the SP. Basically it's just you and whoever else you wanna play with free to explore the entire map and there are activities (i.e. gang hideouts) to do. Or you can just go around killing everyone if you so please.
My friend and I had a good time just riding around the map and killing each other.

Insane fun tonight D_K/Eagles and Eskimo. Most amount of fun I've had online since LBP, which is saying a lot. Were some very good lulz.

The free roam is just so much fun. There's a few things that could be in there just to add even more, like being able to purchase upgrades and such in stores or whatever and also if trains were in, that would be insanely hilarious. But other than that, there's a heap to do if you want.

The throwing knife shit that me and Eskimo were doing had us dying of laughter and we were just doing that for around 2 friggen hours! We had horses lying dead EVERYWHERE and there was enough blood to fill a Saw movie.

I love driving un-wanteds out of our game too. Just constantly shooting them.:D Even though Guido just didn't want to leave and had to be kicked.:p

Hopefully the upcoming co-op modes can still incorporate the open world into the game and not be fairly linear like what GTA IV's were. Because then the options for fun doubles!

Haha! Dude, that was some of the funniest shit i've experienced online. Thanks for the larfs! :D

The best was seeing how many throwing knives we could stick into each other without dying. By the end both of us looked like voodoo dolls with a bunch of knives sticking out of us. I was nearly in tears when you threw one into my groin, with me running around screaming in pain. :D :p

Reminded me of this:

Oh, and how funny was it driving those two yanks to rage-quit after we proceeded to hunt them down and blow them away, with them sooking that we were wrongfully killing them because they were "the good guys going after the red dot on the map". :thumbsu:

HAHAHA YES IT WAS EXACT TO THAT!!:D:D:D

LOL yeah. First thing we did was shoot them dead and kept on doing it and they just got more and more pissed off that they quit. Was ****en funny. "We just want to go to the red dot..." BOOM DEAD!:)

Entered free roam last night after a few hours of sigle player & found it hard to find anyone online. Eventually found half a dozen dots with PSN ID's.
A level 40 had the time of his life killing me til I FINALLY killed him, got the rockstar trophy & left. Someone invited me to their posse so we had 3 on 1 or 2 for a bit.
The damn donkey is slow. After 7 months of uncharted multiplayer, I sucked at this. (free roam type thing only. Couldn't get into any type of game mode)

I spent maybe 90mins hunting, running around & digging up treasure (hanging rock), got back to the store to sell it all & walked out $730 richer. Nice loot. Wolves net you a nice fortune as do simple bird feathers.

This isn't a spoiler, just a question about horses & deeds....> Do you need to buy a deed to keep the horse HIGHLIGHT> that is given to you by Bonnie after the lasoo mission? I've hitched it so it's always there but if it dies do I go back to the first one??

Unless you have the deed to respawn a horse, if it's dead, it's dead. Including the Bonnie horse

Did anyone else here get the warhorse? It's fast with massive stamina. I found a brown one with a white bum thats quicker, but has no where near the stamina.

BTW, flowers for a lady mission...lol

The "Bonnie" horse deed cost me $750 at the store. Unfortunately I found this out after it died/I killed it. I thought if I bought the deed it would respawn for me. No.

Luckily though I found another one on my travels and broke him.

Really small things just make this game for me. I think my favourite in game moment so far is your first time into Mexico... the soundtrack kicks in with Jose Gonzalez and I just got shivers down my spine. The song just conveys the loneliness of being a lone rider out all alone on the plains...

Not too many games have that sense of being 'in' the environment, and involved with the character.

Amen brother. I thought the very same thing when that started playing. I even slowed the horse down to a trot just listening to it.

Agreed, that was the moment of the game so far for me as well. Was shattered when I went into a town and the song stopped about half way.

heh, i do that a bit.

When ever i come into town with a bounty on the back i start trotting the horse just so people can admire my radness

Also stops you barrelling a lawman at full gallop (did that a couple of times early on)

Opposite problem. Haven't opened up mexico yet, and have nearly 4 grand and no idea what to spend it on. Have the war horse so no need to buy one, found most of my guns so haven't spent on them either.

Just do a bit of skinning, treasure hunting, and help out some bystanders and you'll have more than you ever need

It might just be me but does anyone else sortof like having no money? I pretty much always have under $100, I got $400 from a bounty but blew it on gambling, I guess I just like living in poverty for some reason haha.

Yeah, I like doing this sort of roleplay almost. Drifting with the clothes on my back and the gun in my hand only.

how do you activate the treasure challenges? I've got the map, but ****ed if I know where to look...?

If you go to challenges in your journal, it'll have treasure hunting and give you a general area as a start. After that you basically just have to find it in your travels.

First one is pretty obvious. You hang (lolz) around there heaps for missions early on /clue

Edit...well that seems to be covered.

Second one gives you the actual place name on the map. All you have to do if discover the place yourself or buy maps from shops in order for the area to be marked on your map....rio means river in spanish /clue

Only part of the treasure thing I've worked out is that the picture on the map marked I is of the tree at Hanging Rock (you may notice the noose hanging down on the pic and the tree).

No idea where the 2nd part is, the actual treasure part.

Treasure hunting is fun, I'm figuring if I complete that challenge I'll end up with the treasure hunter outfit?

This is the standard that every game should set themselves to, I killed almost 2 hours on the weekend just riding around, hunting and skinning. Some bitch stole my horse, loved it :) Soundtrack is incredible, voice acting is brilliant. Have you guys got into the multiplayer yet?

next to the big boulders. road side. little bunch of rocks.

Spoiler warning ;)

Yeah it's cool how you can spend 2 hours just riding around doing stuff and not doing story missions

Last night i just rode around, ended up helping some farmer take out a heap of rustlers, found some dudes horse that he had a disturbing relationship with, rescued a sherrif and took out his captors, had a duel, found 2 gold bars and completed a sharpshooter challenge on the train.

Progress on story = zero

Fun had = Lots:D
