Buddy kicking his 1000th tonight is sounding like a foregone conclusion with what I'm hearing in the media. Has it been orchestrated?

Yes I am not sure Buddy getting the four tonight is a foregone conclusion. Up against a good defence. And no opponent wants to be the one to concede the 1000th goal.

It is reminiscent of when Plugger was going for the record. The game against us at the SCG people thought he would get it but we (primarily Mr McIntosh) had other ideas. Remains the last time we beat Sydney there. I was not yet 12

Swans were Plugger focused in that last quarter trying to get him the record, allowed us to sneak away with the win

I know most footy people froth over the 80s and 90s and the mere suggestion that the GOAT doesn't come from that era is laughed at but Buddy is the GOAT imo

Buddy averages 3.12 goals a game and JK averages 2.79. I don't think Buddy is that far ahead of his contempararies to be close to GOAT.

If it wasn't for his stupidly long contract they would have put him out to pasture. It was embarrassing watching him hobble around against GWS. Jk was a bit the same against Suns, great players but over the hill.

I reckon he won't crack 1000 until rnd 3 or 4. Would be hilarious if it was rnd 5 against us at optus.
