Felt bitter after the GF, really signifies that it was a wasted year given what GWS offered up today. I know if we got our s**t together in the later rounds we could have given the Tigers an actual match.
Gold Coast might of put in a better performance.

Having JK in the longest kick comp and Nelson in the sprint just sums up this whole year.

Just crap.

From all reports, JKs prep for the LK in the days leading up to it was seriously more impressive than the kick itself!

It’s time to start a national competition. 2 teams from each state, one from tassie and one from NT.

We keep the current teams from SA, WA etc and start 2 new vic teams to join the comp.

The top talent is then spread over 12 teams with the rest to bolster the state leagues. Better quality players in the national comp getting paid more money. Each team plays the other teams twice, once at home and once away. GF is played at home to team who deserves it.

VFL GF written all over it..Richmond had everything in their favour

home ground
crowd
umpires
commentary
less travel
less finals
free agents galore (dont kid yourself its a system designed to benefit Vic teams)
playing a team who finished 6th, travelling for the 3rd week in a row and their 1st GF

knew it was going to be a blowout all week
Lynch , Prestia , Caddy .
It was a gold coast Richmond combined side 😃

Longest Kick is meh , but I like the sprint .
At least last year Brander was 2nd fastest Afl player in the sprint .

Twiggy and a few mates to bank role it at the start.Just gotta convince Twigs that AFL football is his passion and not rugby..I'd leave the Victorians out of it.If you had ever met a Victorian you would understand why.

Enough with the carry on about “we were the only ones good enough to beat Richmond” it is the same week bullshit that “Richmond were the best side in 2018”

Disgusting.

I'm still coming to terms with what I had to endure yesterday. It's the missus team unfortunately so I couldn't turn it off, boy was I pissed 🤦‍♂️

No point pointing out umpiring desicions, bias commentary, Vic wank fest or how many games they played at the MCG this year because tigers numpties like my missus just don't get it.

difference is one is being spouted on BF..The other was continuously rehashed by a sour Vic based media

I think any supporter can make an arguement that another teams premiership was gifted and yet their own teams premiership was hard won.

Geelong - dank and father son rules
Hawks- free agency
WC - you played a team who always chokes in flags. Some people would be inclined to say more about earlier flags and some personell.
Bulldogs - umpires
Sydney - Cola

Pretty much covers the last decade and a bit more.

Anyway people are entitled to their opinions and so be it.

The worst thing is, exceptional circumstances aside, Richmond will finish on top next season as well.

The only player they can expect to lose from the squad that played today is B.Ellis.

Otherwise Rance will return; whilst Stack, Ross, Graham, McIntosh, Balta, Higgins, Butler, Naish and Collier-Dawkins will continue to improve them organically.

And in recent times, the more success that Richmond get, the more they are rewarded the next season:

With a guaranteed run-in to the Finals that interstate sides can only ever dream about:

Just wait for it - the Tigers will get 14 regular season MCG matches in 2020 and 18 in Victoria overall; with their only trips outside of Victoria post-bye will be to visit the Swans and Gold Coast.

The advantage they are currently receiving for being a profitable MCG tenant is undermining the premise that this is a competition at all.
Hopefully their fixture gets sorted out . How the minor premiers got to play the wooden spooners twice is beyond belife

Where did that bs come from , Richmond played 13games at the mcg , coll 14 , wtf 18
Lulz, your team wins a flag & you’re on bf looking through other clubs boards to defend anything written about Richmond. Go burn some scarfs m8 & live a little.

Not on their lonesome in that regard.

Condolences, must be unbearable not being able to escape.

I hope by watching that game that it really burned in the guts of our players as want them to come back next year meaner, fitter and hungrier as that definately appeared to be missing on so many occasions this year from so many of the boys. A lost opportunity definately IMO but s**t happens - just felt for Nic, Shep & Gaff that the team couldn't do it for them this year.
