Yeah I left the pub and was walking down the road by half time before my swearing at the tv started to attract attention.

I think any supporter can make an arguement that another teams premiership was gifted and yet their own teams premiership was hard won.

Geelong - dank and father son rules
Hawks- free agency (Would be more about getting to play three non Vic teams in GF at the MCG for mine, but fair play they were an amazing team)
WC - you played a team who always chokes in flags. (We actually beat Collingwood 3 times in 2018, two of those games not in GF. Plus they got to play us at their home ground.)
Bulldogs - umpires
Sydney - Cola

Pretty much covers the last decade and a bit more.

Anyway people are entitled to their opinions and so be it.
As much as these things annoy people, did any of those teams get to not travel and play at their home ground for 9 weeks at the end of the home and away season? No. Biggest fixed flag ever.

And why would you say Hawks had a free agency advantage with Prestia, Lynch and Caddy in your team?

Disgusting.

I'm still coming to terms with what I had to endure yesterday. It's the missus team unfortunately so I couldn't turn it off, boy was I pi**ed 🤦‍♂️

No point pointing out umpiring desicions, bias commentary, Vic wank fest or how many games they played at the MCG this year because tigers numpties like my missus just don't get it.
My thoughts are with you today kent... :moustache: :handfist:

THE HORROR :skull:

Different arguements can quantify different things. Its just a matter of how much one wants to buy into them as a particular supporter, and why.

Some of the whining here is absolutely embarrassing.

The best team of the second half of the year won it, they didn't lose a game. Do I think we would have gotten close? Yes, but we blew it against Collingwood and Hawthorn, and then Willie started smoking cones. Despite how good our best is, we got what we deserved.

Channel 7 were predictably shit, like they always are.

Winning Post.

Sums it all up really.

Lets look forward... How good would it be if Nic plays 22 games.

That there would be a massive improvement and all round lift of spirits.

Also hoping for early news on Willie and a decent result suspension wise (Id be happy with 18 months backdated to rd22)

Hoping in 2020 we give more draftees a go as well. Give them min. 5 games once they're in too. Cant be good for them in and out the side weekly.

Look at Rozee and Dhurrsma for Port, they played majority of the season, had dips and rises but will be better for it Id say.

Love to see 2-3 19-21s get 15+ games each and let them play their strengths.

Watched that 15 minute video of the GF last year, the ones with the coaches mic’ed up, now I know it’s more exciting for us to still view it, but imagine how boring a video of this years GF would be.

People on here are actually whining? Richmond thoroughly deserved the premiership, they were a choked prelim last year away from being back to back to back premiers. They've been the best team for three years and we smashed and grabbed last years Cup when Richmond were clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the league. There's no shame in that.

This isnt about us. Its about what that particular team got in terms of their run home + free agency bias + home ground fix. The Eagles, they were trash its not about them. Totally legitimate to critize the AFL for this horseshit.

I was also at a pub but had a great time. After half time the football was only a by product - good venue, good company, good food plus wine/beer/champagne - what more could you ask for🙄

Being serious though it was disappointing as far as the game went but like so many sides who make the GF for the first time think GWS played their GF the week before and there wasn't any Petrol left in the tank. Also felt they played into Richmonds hands by trying to play safe football. After 1/4 time noticed too many waiting for Richmond to get the ball then they would go in to tackle instead of making the ball their purpose and going in for the ball first, but that's the way the cookies crumble sometimes.

The unfortunate thing is now we have to put up with all these Richmond supporters crowing in the off season👎😟

There are few in the slammer this morning but they will be out soon so lock up your pets.

Inequalities might have helped Richmond but they still had to actually win (something they couldn't do last year). That Grand Final was boring a shit, it will be forgotten by all but Richmond supporters by mid week at the latest. Time to put 2019 to bed and focus on 2020.

Tigers are looking like the best team of the last three years at the moment, as they have won two flags. However, they are not head and shoulders above all others and next year the competition will be wide open again. I am excited to see what we can do, as we have the squad to go far. A Richmond vs WCE Grand Final in 2020 could be an absolute classic.

I don't have a problem with people saying Richmond had things fall their way. Just like virtually everyone craps on about Richmond's prelim choke last year gave us a shot at the flag. If Richmond were in last year's grand final, chances are they probably beat us. Or maybe not. Maybe that would have been their choke instead? We'll never know.

You always need a bit of luck to run your way. Sometimes it doesn't seem like luck, but we had 3 key players missing for us in the GF that saw their replacements play pivotal roles. Schofield played the game of his life down back, Vardy was instrumental in tagging Gawn in the prelim and then Grundy in the GF, as well as kicking a vital 4th quarter goal and being part of the chain that won us the flag, while Sheed did something every kid dreams of.

Who knows what happens if we didn't blow the end of our season this year? Or Collingwood didn't blow their prelim? Or if Hawkins didn't get suspended? Or if Brisbane kicked straight? Or if Richmond didn't have 7 straight MCG games to run into the finals (flip them with start of the season, do they win those 7 straight while hit with injuries?)...

You ride your luck and you take your chances. Tigers did it, so good on them. They still had to play well with the cards they were dealt, and timed it all perfectly.

Richmond havent finished top the 2 times they win the GF.

The one time they did they choked.

Its just who is playing well at the end of the year really.

Got the lucky side of the finals draw in the newbies Brisbane and perennial finals chokers Geelong. Top that off with playing against the 6th placed team with significant injury concerns PLUS only having to travel once in 10 weeks and it's easy to see why people don't really put much value in their flag.

Had Adelaide in '17 who were probably in a similar position to Brisbane this year too.

All we can hope is that Richmond actually get a draw deserving of a team that won a premiership and not gifted a free ride straight to the GF again.

Dont foget Brisbane had them 2-3 goals down but missed some absolute sitters and ended up kicking 8.17 while Rich kicked 18.4.

Then v Geel the cats led by 23 but were also missing sitters kicking 7.8 by half time.

The GF even started with GWS not taking a few chances early... you kick those early ones and you are up and about.

Tigers just rode their luck.

they are the best team when everything is in their favour
we flogged them last year when they were taken out of their comfort zone
