Chad Warner's going to cost us two first-rounders at this rate.
He was taken Pick 39, we had pick 38 which we traded......

What I would give for the Eagles to have a young pacey midfielder that can break away from the center.

Couple of plays in Q2 reminded me of a young Shuey. What a stud and another miss from the Eagles.

Tigers looking very slack with their marking, particularly around stoppage. Swans currently moving the ball better than anyone else in the competition.

Surely it won't be long until teams start to tag Dawson - his disposal has been ripping teams apart in the opening rounds thus far.

Richmond are looking extremely vulnerable to pace this year. In the first 2.5 matches of 2021 they have probably conceded more goals out-the-back than during the entirety of 2020. Their niggling to hold up the mark no longer works with the changed rule and opposition forwards are finding space behind their defence.

Gotta be thrilled for Tom Hickey. Relishing his first ruck role.

Holding the ball is a farce. Full 360 is a free kick, fix that before you start bringing in other nonsense to justify your pay check Hocking you useless campaigner.
I disagree. If the tackle is just a jumper pull and the player is standing up and in control of the tackle, why should it be holding the ball? Getting taken to ground Is different.

Sydney has some really good young kids that has potential to be stars. All we have are c graders kids. Not looking forward to the fall when our guys are retiring one after another.

Sydney

2014
Heeney* - pick 18

2015
Mills* - pick 3 matched with 33,36,37,43 (36&37 received from WCE for 23 which we used on Partington)
Papley - RD

2016
Florent - pick 11 (essentially from pick received for Tom Mitchell)
Hayward - pick 21

2017
Matthew Ling(?) - pick 14
McCartin - pick 33

2018
Blakely* - pick 10
Rowbottom- pick 25

2019
Stephens - pick 5
Gould- pick 26
Taylor - pick 36
Warner - pick 39

2020
McDonald - pick 4
Campbell* - pick 5
Gulden* - pick 32

Heeney, Mills, Blakely and Campbell are all top 5 -10 players in their draft years they were able to acquire for later picks well outside top 10 as they were academy players

Couple of high picks (top 5) last two years when they sucked and a half decent pick for Mitchell

Haven’t always nailed their picks but have picked up some good ones along the way

Have benefited more than any other club due to the academy has they were able to bring in 3 high end players when they were contending and another bonus one in a sh*t year

Quick rebound is impressive but fu** me if they haven’t had a serious leg up

Sydney changing the angles so well here.

Richmond trying to do their usual setup and pin them on the wing, but the Swans are bringing it back inside with ease and the Tiger defence is being left scrambling as a result.

Arguably this is the first time that Richmond have been tactically blown off the park since their visit against us in 2018. If I am taking this much notice then no doubt 16 other clubs in the competition will be filling up their notes on this match.

Richmond follow-up this match with a next five of Port (away), St Kilda (Docklands), Melbourne, Bulldogs and Geelong.

None of those will be easy matches for them.
