I mean, what are the odds?
It's a solemn day where we remember the past and pay our respects.

And now here's Browny with the odds, thanks to sportsbet.

Geez the Dogs have a soft draw this year.

- Beaten a bottom 4 Collingwood team.
- Almost lost to us at home which we should've won despite us playing a man down (Vardy) and no Shuey and Yeo. Didn't help that Cripps kicked into the man on the mark like 10 meters out which has likely costed us that game.
- Beaten the worst side in the comp.
- Faced an out of form Brisbane at home which should've been at the GABBA but COVID cases in QLD meant the Lions had to temporarily relocate to Victoria.
- Faced a bottom 4 Suns team at home.
- Will be facing an injury depleted Giants team.
- Facing the bottom 4 Blues team.

The only hard games they'll have are against Richmond at the MCG, Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, Geelong at Kardinya (they don't match up well against the Cats), Us at Optus and In form Dees at the MCG.

happens every year.. A good Vic side kissed on the dick who virtually has to fall over not to finish top 4..

while we have to work bloody hard and have a lot things go our way to finish in the same brackett

The only reason we haven't made top 4 the last two seasons are our own performances.

If we don't make top 2 then I am very happy for Bulldogs and Melbourne to get there instead. We match up well on both teams and if we do lose against them, it is usually close. I'd back us to win a qualifying final away against either at the MCG.

The Brisbane game was always at Mars, you are thinking of the Collingwood game.

Our draw has been (and will be) as easy as we can ask for. Saints loss still hurts, but never a better chance to get Geelong in Geelong...

really the only reason ?? other teams getting a massive leg up from favourable fixturing has played no part ?

finishing last season with 5 games in 18 days...the most brutal group of games any team had to endure which resulted in mass injuries...right before finals

richmund ending the season with 7 home games in 2019...might of helped them finishing above us and being fresher come finals

just a couple of examples

prob not just our own performance determining our fate...

Give me a spell Bucks...

I don’t buy that. Isn’t there meant to be a property manager who is the only person with access to this case they’re kept in? Why was the case of phones open like it was to begin with?

This. A handful of staff are on the approved list to have access to phones during the game. Obviously they would have all family contact information if any medical updates should need to be passed along.

All other phones are supposed to be locked away, to stop those within the club accessing their or anyone elses phones. Bucks dodges whatever he can. Should own it instead of running from it. This is what has created so many issues at Collingwood.

Wouldn't using concussion as an excuse get them in even more hot water for not following the concussion test protocol immediately after the collision? Didn't they just stem the bleeding, send him back out to finish the quarter and only test him for concussion after that?

The phone case is also supposed to be locked, so either way Collingwood are screwed even if DeGoey isn't.

to be fair its exactly what I would be saying to avoid a fine

the AFL would look a bit hypocritical to treat concussion seriously then say its not a legitimate excuse
Surely you're not buying the "concussed" excuse?

Like Lyon said OTC, "he might've been concussed but he still knew which phones were his and Howe's :D
