Should have got rid of moore earlier and taken richards with a nothing draft pick . Club has been over most things this trade period , but IMO let its gaurd down on this one. It also isn't with hindsight , I was suggesting it as trade period closed.

We trade for Richards we probably give up pick 56 or something like next years 3rd . Get him as a DFA and we lose pick 100 instead, not sure how that qualifies as letting it's guard down.

I personally dont believe we have any interest in Richards,Richmond usually go on record if they have an interest in players
Moore,Caddy,Prestia,Nankervis,Townsend etc etc

If we had an interest we would have traded for him similar to Nankervis and not waited for the delistings

Even if the RFC had some idea there would be salary cap pressure on the club & someone might shake loose? They played him in a granny so he must be around there best 22?(I'm just speculating though)....

Pretty hard to break into a backline that has grundy, ted, rampe and smith. Forward line of buddy, Tippett, Rohan, Heeney etc.

When he did get a run at it he played pretty well. For a DFA there's a lot value to be had there
