I'm crying already. McCarthy probs will bring his own from when he was a teenagerEh. I'd love to see Cam McCarthy play in this, or the green one. You could imagine he probably had an anchor jumper growing up.
Even Hoges. That'd look good.

Is your surname Costanza?Retro round used to be the white with three red chevrons, with the black shorts. While I
I agree with including the collar and think they should go one step further and have woollen ones. I wonder if today’s modern players would cope?![]()

The one I've got from 1996 cant see a label with the materials but I thought jumpers from that era whilst sewn the material was just some sort of woven acrylic, a bit like what most beanies are still made of.That’s why I put the laughing emoji. I have an original woollen one from our first year. It’s awesome.
3D anchor away top was (which I would kill for) 98. Not sure without detailed research if other clubs had made the jump a year earlier. The one I've got from 1996 cant see a label with the materials but I thought jumpers from that era whilst sewn the material was just some sort of woven acrylic, a bit like what most beanies are still made of.
I think the jumpers changed to the more modern type of material which allowed colours to be just printed on them was in about 97?
See edit above, I think we may have even changed as early as 96. The early printed ones still had the 2 front badges AFL and Hard Yakka sewn on though iirc.3D anchor away top was (which I would kill for) 98. Not sure without detailed research if other clubs had made the jump a year earlier.
I have a original away top no. 21 (Muir). It's impossible to ascertain whether it was made in 95, 96 or 97 though, but is definitely acrylic. It actually has no badges though (also it has what appear to be authentic Sekem tags): So I can't tell if it's a real training jumper / very good knock off (but then why Muir??) / a period when replica jumpers had no badges? / badges removed by previous owner for some reason?See edit above, I think we may have even changed as early as 96. Show off!Looks great and its awesome to wear it for a 1 off game. I am suprised it doesn't happen more often wearing a retro or heritage jumper once a year. Clubs can milk more money by slagging off another jumper to sell to the fans.
I will miss the game though as i will be in london for the Lord's test that weekend.
Have one of them too. The only one I don’t have is the away jumper from 2002-whenever they changed to the purple on white as the clash/away jumper.3D anchor away top was (which I would kill for) 98. Not sure without detailed research if other clubs had made the jump a year earlier.

edit - I think printed jumpers came in as early as 96 in our 2nd season, because I remember at the time finding out I had an 'old' jumper and being disappointed by that, but then ended up being thankful getting that because it was better to own an original one. It's hanging on my bedroom wall now!
Favourite all time. Nostalgia and just difference at the time. First jumper to own. Then got stolen and never seen since. These are rare as. That and the trident away jumper in 2001-05. Just gold jumpers and rare as.I had a feeling it all perfectly aligned and, yep, Fremantle won its first derby while wearing the 3D anchor. In 1999!

Apologies for piss-pants Brodie Holland.
The club should've brought this back for the home derby. Twenty years since. Us in this, the Eagles in their yellow. What a match up.
