From Snoop Dog mock rookie draft.

Tom Vandeleur – South Fremantle / 192cm / 90kg / ‘95
Looked ok at champs and is your 3rd tall defender type. More likely a rookie draft nut he did impress towards the end of the year at Full back and he could well have a few suitors. Is aggressive, quick and has a terrific leap so he can go with most and has the capacity to play smaller if need be. Is a real competitor and one I have warmed to a bit but am unsure where to place him. There is just something that makes you think clubs would want him.

REBOUNDING defender who competes well in the one-on-one contests. Has a big engine and is super competitive.
Certainly played well for Vic Metro this season and has been invited to the National AFL draft Combine.
Promising prospect who has attracted the interest of several AFL club recruiters

Michael Wood – Subiaco / 186cm / 65kg / ’94
Over age and played fwd at Subiaco this year and who dominated Colts level early with some big hauls and then was very impressive in some of his WAFL performances at senior level. Still very slight but has very good sense as a fwd and moves incredibly well. Leads to good places, good hands, rarely fumbles, and a beaut kick. His issues are body size and to influence games a bit more. Ticks a lot of boxes though and whilst will take time could be very good. Wonder if clubs might see him playing up the ground on a wing which would give him more draft scope.

The AFL site has different height and weight (much better weight that quoted here):

Michael Wood from the eyes and mouth of someone who watches pretty much all of Subi's games:

"Good kid, was one of two (Sheed the other) to step up from colts and play regular league. Slightly built but played most of the season as a deep forward. Questionable kicking under pressure"

Pick 34

Name: Tom Vandeleur

Height: 194 cm

Weight: 92 kg

DOB: 20/03/95

Position: Defender

Club: South Fremantle

From our recruiters: Tom is a versatile tall defender. He played eight WAFL colts games averaging 14.9 disposals. Tom started the year by debuting in the League side, buthe hurt his ankle and missed several weeks, returning just in time to play the last few state games for WA. Tom is a great size at 194kg and 92kg. His draft combine highlighted his athleticism; he recorded a 89cm vertical jump, ran 3.00 over 20m and recorded a 24.49 repeat sprint time. Because he's so athletic, Tom has the ability to play on a variety of opponents. Tom has the ability to lock down on an opponent, but also zones off quite well to help out other defenders.

From AFL.com: Tall defender with terrific rebounding ability with his natural athleticism. Penetrating kick who missed the earlier part of the AFL Under-18 Championships due to an ankle injury but returned for rounds four and five to provide WA with a boost.

From the video it looks like this guy will need a bit of work, kicking action in particular.

Chris ,how do you think Charlie Cameron measures up.I've watched him in the WAFL and think he is really hard at it with a good skills set.Would appreciate your opinion

Adelaide took him with their first pick Salim so they obviously liked him, will be interesting to see how he goes over there
