I did some number crunching and I came up with an even better alternative for me. If I trade Wona to Cotchin and Gamble to Valenti I will have about $442,400 sitting in the bank for next week. Then I can upgrade Wood to Sandilands and Hunt to Drummond/MacDonald/Johncock.

Now comes the hard part of waiting until thursday to see if everything goes to plan.

Isn't a downgrade to Valenti really risky as someone has already mentioned, a couple of us are starting to run low on trades around the 9-7mark.
The downgrade trades i would be looking for is players that are going to play as much of the rest of the season as possible, limiting the damage of any short term injuries therefore saving trades.
I was of the understanding that valenti is straight back to the Rookie list when grimes is back, which iv heard alot of people rate.

Why is everyone wanting to jump off Stevens? He is scoring better than Judd atm. I would hold him and save the trade, unless you want to downgarde him and play a rookie on the ground then use the cash on Hunt, Truck Rutten, Gardiner etc

which Stevens ive got two . I think Rutten is a perfect last defender to have if he get 75 a week ill be happy. I think hunt can go back to his original price in a couple of rounds then ill get him out, i have to get rid of Gardiner this week or next but who for?

How much cash do you have? Gardiner to Rocca or someone similar is a bit of a nothing trade. The bad Rocca may get you 130 one week then nothing for 5 weeks. You need to find a way to generate some cash from somewhere so you can actually upgrade him rather than a sideways trade. Kennedy will prob be consistent for WC and seems to have cemented his spot

i could trade out Masten or Kruezer but they can add allot more money to them in a few more weeks. I could trade Masten for another cash cow then trade Gardiner for Steve Johnson. But i think i might give it a few more weeks till my cash cows have matured.

Backline is shit dude. other then that, your forward line is capable of scoring 1000 plus between them.

Like many have already said on here Ablett seems like he is a must have. Although picking him up at the moment means extremely big $$.

Than N.Stevens up to Ablett.

What are people's thoughts on this trade? Stevens was a steal at the start of the season and i have been reasonably happy with him so far but he is the only midfielder that i have which would be a good upgrade to Ablett.

Some Demons fans are suggesting Valenti could be off the list and back in the VFL within 3-4 weeks.

Can he appreciate enough in that window to make the trade worthwhile? If he gets injured or dropped it could get messy.

Most of us will have traded him out by 4 weeks anyway.

Valenti's on course to net you $150k if he's off the list in another three weeks.

He'll cost you one trade to get him in, one to get him out and perhaps another to upgrade someone with the profit. And there'll still be the issue of finding another playing, budget-priced forward for your bench. Ideally someone who won't eat into the $150k you just made.

Those running low on trades may look at investing elsewhere.

Some massive dilemmas this week, wouldn't mind some peoples thoughts:

This week I will trade Tippet (as he is only going to go down in price now) and pick up Shane Valenti (don't need a scorer, just a cheap player) then I can either use that money to:

a) upgrade Travis Johnstone to Gary Ablett as Ablett is as cheap as he is going to be for ages and Travis is as expensive as he is going to be

or b) trade out Tredrea for Chapman (Chapmans 480,000 and is only going to go up) and have 140,000 left over to trade Mckinely for Riewoldt who will go down to around 430,000 in two weeks time.

So basically its Johnstone, Chappy and Riewoldt vs Ablett and Tredrea and an extra trade

Gents, need some advice on which back upgrade Xavier Ellis up to finalise my backline. Currently have:

H Shaw
Johncock
Cornes
S Fisher
Osborne
Gilbee (wtf is with him this year?)
Ellis
S Thompson
Pfeiffer

Trading Armitage to Cotchin, with $81,400 in the bank and Ellis' trade in price, gives me $501,100 which just about covers any backman that isnt still overpirced from last year (Malceski, Drummond etc.)

Am looking at either Milburn, McLeod, Bock or P Burgoyne.

Milburn - Is he still capable of pulling out a 130+ game this season?
McLeod - Will Craig persist on allowing him to be tagged out of every game and posting 40pt games?
Bock - Spewing I changed him out at the start of the season. Can Adelaide's backline sustain three 100+pt defenders each week?
P Burgoyne - Will he ever break 100+pts again this season?

Am weary of MacDonald and King, as arent yet proven season-long performers, however have in decent form...

Any feedback or alternative suggestions would be extremely welcome.
