The Hawks play the first of their three consecutive home games against another finals aspirant, in the shape of the Seagulls. The Hawks played Williamstown earlier in the season at Burbank Oval and came away with a comfortable 28 point victory (13.12.90 to 8.14.62).
The Hawks currently sit a game clear of Port Melbourne with eight wins, a draw and a loss on the ledger. Williamstown currently sit in third, six points back from Port Melbourne with a considerably higher percentage, so the game promises to be a cracker. Port Melbourne are on the road to play the Northern Blues, who are desperate to consolidate their position in the top eight (they are currently sixth on percentage), so this shapes as another crucial round on the road to finals.
The development squad got back on the winners' list with an eight point victory over the Blues last weekend and they host the Seagulls in a must-win game for their finals hopes. The Hawks sit sixth on the ladder, a game back from Williamstown (having played a game less than the Seagulls) so a win over the Seagulls on Sunday morning (from 11am) will put the Hawks right back in finals contention.
As per usual, 3WBC 94.1FM will have live coverage of the senior game from 1pm. You can stream their coverage from their website (www.3wbc.org.au) or use the TuneIn app on your smart device. The Hawks will provide regular score updates for both matches on www.twitter.com/boxhillhawks
