Being the Heritage Round and all...what should we wear?

Given that Adelaide (who we are playing at Subi) will at present be wearing that nasty red away thing of theirs, it'd be a good chance for us to whip out something a bit special jumper-wise without much fear of clashing.

Obviously the DB risks a clash (fugly vs fugly) so its out of the question on several levels.

What should we wear?

I actually have one somewhere, however I don't think I'll fit into it any more.

I've never really understood what people had against that jumper...nothing wrong with gold/yellow as a dominant colour. Although admittedly the reversed design looks better.

Maybe we should wear the colours of the first premiers in Western Australia or the colours of one of the first teams in WA.

This would be
Premiers 1885: Rovers football club
or Victorians Football club (irony not intended)

Victorians went on to become the Metropolitan Football Club and later changed their name to West Perth so it could be red and blue or maybe we could upset the Victorian teams and wear the big V.

Not sure of the original colours but it would be interesting to find out.

The yellow number makes the boys look jaundice. Plus its just plain ugly.

We should wear the original Eagles Jumper.

How about both sides wear the guernsies they won two premierships in in the 1990s?

Indeed, according to today's Advertiser we will be wearing our home strip and not the "nasty red away thing" as Mr Eagle so eloquently put it.

Hmm we'd better not be wearing our usual home jumper then, or that's going to be an ugly sea of navy, gold, and white (Crows shorts)

most clubs are going back a long way into the past for their traditional look. Freo are going to wear an old south fremantle jumper. Why don't we wear the original WA jumpers from state of origin.

Maybe we should show our support for the AFL and wear a kit as similar to Adelaides as possible

Like Pies v Kangaroos both wearing stripes last weekend or Saints v bombers..both wearing red black and white.

The Dockers aren't the South Fremantle Bulldogs. I think thats a silly idea. As for us it has to be the 87 jumper. I think alot of people forget we started in 1987 and not in 1991 or whatever. This would be a nice way to honour the people who helped start up the club and were there in the early years. Our away strip is already very similar to the 92 and 94 jumper anyway.
