Not really sure what to do if anything this round. Considering bringing in B Kennedy and/or C Oliver, but I'm not really sure how.

EDIT: Maybe Robinson, but that seems silly considering the severity of his injury.

I watched Dea a lot last year in the magoos. Obviously he is subpar because we delisted him, but he wont be one of Essendon's worst.

I noticed he nervously handballed a lot in the first half and most were ineffective. He's predominately a kicker, and not a bad 1 at that. I reckon his last quarter will be more like he plays each week. He'll get a few accross the backpocket switch cheapies as the season rolls on. Lets face it, it's going to be in Essendom's back line a lot.

As long as he keeps his spot, I reckon he might average 80 odd from here on.

To do that I have to trade CEllis.

if i had neither i would go for Kennedy, cheaper and likely to score about the same as Oliver.plus theres "talk" of Oliver getting rested....

Makes sense. We should compare outcomes, Mr Steadier, seeing as you are preparing to hold and cover for Mr Sidebottom whereas I am throwing his ass to the kerb.

I worry that you are going a week early on Weitering, because I am still hoping that he goes nowhere near it this weekend and I don't have to get him in next week. I'll probably do the exact same trade, Brown>Weitering, after Round 2.

If you swing Bartel into the mids, you are effectively covering Sidey with your shittest defender. Just sayin'

The only concern I had for Weitering prior to rnd 1 was his scoring ability as a key def.
He's answered that concern in my mind (he's not a big lump of a fullback), so I think he's a great pick with rock solid job security.

As for bartel going into mids, you're right to a degree- im effectively covering sidey with weitering. Which I'm ok with.

Thats a better option than doing no trades and covering him with gresham, tippa, davis or Mccarthy i think at this stage.

Considering that cover for sidey isn't the main reason for doing the trade- it's just a bonus that weitering should be a safer bet to outscore gresh etc over the next 2 weeks.

I'd say the trade would involve switching a Tippa or Brown to the opposite end of the ground. Still just one trade.

Dea is my D6, I am certainly hoping he settles down and becomes valuable. If it was the only sensible way to get BK in, I would probably do it.

If peeps have one of brown,tippy,adams,lee in the fwd line they can sub them into the def and trade in a Forward eg Ben ken.

Worked fine through chrome mobile though. (with the S coming up next to eligible DPP players after selecting a player to trade).

God they make a mess of the user interface every year.

Only one trade as using a DPP rook to effect the trade. Gut feel is that BenKen has far higher upside and this week Melbourne will murder Essendon.

-you missed out on a high scoring rookie

There should be no reason why you would trade one of your healthy premos for another premo R2. Everyone has the off-game, be thankful it happened R1. I hope people trade out Fyfe this week, only to cry when he comes out with 150 against GC.

You picked your premos for a reason, stick with them. Don't rage trade. If you want proof as to why you shouldn't rage trade - just have a look at your trade history from last year.

I'm in a pickle, 3k short of going Milera > BenKen, which I wanted to do in the first place but didn't have the cash and just hoped for the best. I think I'll give it another week, but it means I'm pretty much going to have to make 2 trades to bring in BenKen which is a big price to pay

Some one tell me why I shouldn't trade out Sidebottom.

Here's my reasoning. I'm currently ranked 2875 and my midfield reads like this

Dangerfield, Mundy, Ward, Priddis, Crips, Sidebottom, Jack Steele, Mills ( Menadue, Davis, Keays )

My initial thoughts were to trade down Sidey to Libba and upgrade Jack Steele to Luke Parker

I'm now thinking I need to give Jack Steele another week but becuase I've missed out on Libba, Sidebottom's suspension is a perfect chance for me to trade down and bank 200 odd K and roll over to RD 2 and go from there.

I believe if I hold Sidebottom for 2 weeks on the bench and have one of rookies cover him I will drop in overall rank as with Sidey out it completely ****s my structure.

Any thoughts would be appreciated ?
