And yet Ablett played on the night, and no doubt he was a crock of shit. Should've played someone else that night, could've been the difference.

yeah, also said he was out for three weeks..
On Ablett, if he hasnt got a bit more fit, then i dont want to see him play.
He looked off the pace against the Saints, and with another dangerous midfield opposition we need able bodies..

Bird had a poor first game but he will be a gun when he finds his feet (or wings ).

In hindsight i dont really mind Bird having a quiet 1st game, if anything it might take some pressure off him for the long run.
Take for example Barlow brilliant 1st game then average 2nd&3rd, punters were expecting him to keep producing blinders after 3 games of senior footy.
Bird will at least have relaxed a bit, had a taste of the real thing, not to mention in a game that was super defensive.
With a bit more room to move im keeping him in my SC this week anyway.

Yep, that was pretty funny as he was on the field warming up at the time.
I don't think he'll play this week though, he wasn't fit enough last week and then copped a knock during the game.

i reckon big chance barlow for bevan
and maybe ablett's under pressure, although it's his 100th game, i believe, so will probly be okay for this week
but certainly, roos will be weighing up bringing in barlow

There will be at least one change. Just on Bird, I also think its a good thing that he had a quiet first game. Can you imagine the hype if he had a blinder first up? Lets ease him into senior footy.

it might go back to the captaincy issue.

he did the 2005 GF and put the whistle away in the last quarter which suited us.
the only decent umpire is mat james,we only get him once a year but we get magots like mclaren and mcinerney every second week
