Decided to save my last trade and cop 2 zeros this week. Luckily pulled through and got the week off so will probably save my last trade for one more week.

i traded out shaw and porps to not get 0's and i won my game by 350 points anyway

Midfield options:

I like to think I have a solid midfield, with Bartel (Captain), Corey (Vice Captain), Black, Jones, Bird, Prismall, Jack and Houli.

Houli is a good priced mid for someone that hasn't played in ages. I'm wanting to get a cheap mid since he'd be a back up on the bench, and wanting more cash for a forward.

I am thinking on; Veszpremi ($83,500), Otten ($83,500) or McCarthy ($83,500).

Forward options:

This is where my current problems are. I had a zero on the ground and the two on the bench didn't play. I have Pavlich, Murphy, Brown, Fevola, Rioli, Hill, Gamble, Porplyzia and Tippett.

Porplyzia isn't going to play another game for the season obviously, so I am in need of a good forward. If I trade Houli out for a $83,500 player, and then trade Porplyzia I'll have $446,800.

I am thinking on; Deledio ($380,600), Franklin ($365,800), Brad Johnson ($359,000) or Lynch ($357,100)

Suggestions?

And with 3 trades left and some $ left over next week I'll be able to trade Hille for Cox the following week.

My Situation:

• 3 Trades
• Shaw to get rid of (Valenti starting and Rioli on bench)
• $11,600 in the kitty

I would like extra money for my last trade so I can either upgrade Valenti or my rucks. My backs are: Birchall, Ellis, Roughead, Milburn, Gilbee and Mcleod.

So here are my thoughts; I trade Rioli to a $83,500 player for the bench that will leave me with $425,500 ($164,400 from Rioli + $261,100 from Shaw) to upgrade Shaw. I have looked through the other threads and this is what I have concluded: Welsh is the best option at 326,100 but I don't want to get him after his $40,000 rise and the fact of me being wary of having too many Essendon players (already have Hille and Lloyd), Mackie is very solid but too expensive at $392,200, I don't want Ladson or Guerra because I already have 3 Hawthorn backs (Roughead, Ellis and Birchall) and 4 Hawks in total. Bowden ($379,200), Goddard ($346,300), Mcmahon ($323,800) and Fisher ($367,900) are possiblites but a few prices there worry me. Are Newman, Drummond and Wheatley good options?

Anyway I've rambled on a bit and would like input on this and also who I should trade Rioli for, standouts for me right now are Veszpremi, Mitch Farmer and Nick Salter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm not leaning in any direction at all right now. Thanks!

I'd rule out Newman and Drummond, Wheatley is a pretty good choice. Welsh is a good option and still quite cheap, looks like he is playing a new role in the last few weeks and will stay there considering Essendon have started winning. McMahon is probly a good choice as well.

Not sure whether to wait a week or not though. 6/8 of my bench players are playing so I still have depth and I need to win this week so I might just pull the trigger this week. Lets hope he repeats his last effort against Sydney.

Am thinking of this;

Everitt out for Andrew Walker. Walker's scored about 95 and 100 over the past 2 weeks. Best value option for a defender I think.

One of my weaker midfielders (Griffin, Palmer or Stevens out) for either Bartel or Corey. But am wary that Geelong are playing Sydney who may try to lock it down.

1 left. Gotta dump Drummond for something now that he's torn his quad. Serves me right for punting on the injury prone loser a few weeks back.

Might get McMahon.

Any more injuries and i'll be copping donuts which i've refused to do all year, as i'm playing for the ranking - back up to 107th so just hanging on from here.

i know it looks silly with Simmonds getting good scores every week but i think it might be work the punt. What are everyones thoughts?

silly I think. there must be other weaker areas in your team? don't be fooled by frasers one good game for the year. The tigers got absolutely belted and simmonds still secured a ton.

Theres a bit of risk there, I think he's still carrying something from a few weeks ago where he hurt himself v geelong. He started up forward against the crows and thats the last thing you want if you've got richo in your team. I guess it's now or never though, and he is quite cheap atm.

I have Bartel and Corey as two of my mids and im praying that they find some of the footy this weekend. Especially Bartel who my opponent doesnt have. I think with ANZ stadium being a little bit bigger than the SCG it should be a little more free flowing with cheap kicks and handballs.

Im thinking Delidio is the best pick for a forward at this stage. I have three trades left and im thinking i will burn two this week. 1 trade to downgrade a rookie and the other trade to bring in a gun. As i lost my prelim last week i need to take some big risks to make sure i make the GF and have some luck.

I think i might actually break down and cry if i get knocked out this week. Ill be out in straight sets after finishing top. Good thing cricket season is approaching!

He has scored 90+ on 10 occasions so far this year, which is a very good return considering the limited choice of quality ruckman barring cox this year.
