So Ross didn't say "We're cooked. Will try hard next year"?

That's comforting.

Without being silly, I believe him. Think they'll step it up a gear at the right time and give it a good nudge.

Pav looks likely, and Fyfe could be a miss this week according to Ross on Channel 7.
Also, Ballas back by 1st final.:thumbsu:
 Why could Fyfe be a miss? He's not allowed to miss any more games! There's a Brownlow to win

TBH I don't think Fyfe is worried about the Brownlow he is more of a country footballer type guy that just loves to get out there and play for the team and if the Brownlow falls into his lap then he's OK with that as well . He plays on the edge so sometimes he will step over it to win a contest .
This doesn't mean that I don't want him to win it , I do .

I don't think he's that worried either, but I want him to win it! He's clearly the best player in the competition and he deserves it.

But I also want him playing to sure up our top spot, to get some momentum going into finals, and because you can tell just by the way he acts on & off the field how much just playing means to him

Fyfe isnt a laid back country boy.

He's highly competitive, motivated, flamboyant and very self orientated person and footballer.

Most highly successful athletes have these qualities, and there's no doubt the brownlow means a lot to him.

Actually yeah, of course he wants it. It must've hurt seeing how close he came last year. I think if he had the choice between brownlow & team success (i.e. premiership) he'd go the team path. He'll win at least one of everything in his career though :)

Fyfe clearly still hasn't recovered from the deliberate Mitchell cork and the issues that followed from favouring a leg. It's obvious ... he's only getting 20-25 touches and a shadow of his dominant early season form. I'd rest him for the last few weeks and see if it freshens him up. We can't win the flag unless Fyfe is in beast mode, getting 30-35 touches and dragging the side over the line. Right now he just can't do that because he is a bit sore.

With it looking like a heavy track and wet ball on the weekend and Fyfe possibly being rested, I'd rest McPahrlin also.

Whilst I think Dawson will get better with each game, his form is still a bit concerning so we can't afford not to have Macca fit and firing for the finals.

Fyfe and Macca out

Clancee and Duff in.

Clancee or Mz the sub.

Send Langdon and Weller to Adelaide the week after.

I'll be dark if they miss the opportunity to give Pav another couple of weeks rest.

Explains a lot why he hasn't been performing the last two weeks.

Incredible to think that without that cork he could be looking at polling around 40 votes for the Brownlow atm..

Still need one more win to finish top 2.

We could well enter September losing 3 of our previous 4.......

Just the confidence anger and belief hunger we need huh.

FTFY.

Confidence can be a dangerous commodity in September. It breeds complacency.
