The great, depressing irony of Subiaco oval beer prices is that they are not excessive.

At the time it seems a rort. But then you go out after the game and handover $12 for a pint and the memories of that sweet Carlton Mid come flooding back to you with a slightly rosier glow. Hell, half the 'trendy' places in Perth you ask for a pint, handover your tenner (plus gold) and then a schooner is unceremoniously plonked in front of you. I asked for a pint thanks mate. If you're trying to compare the 2 situations, you have rocks in your head. If Barlow's thumb is fine, fantastic, more power to him to play well. If Heppell plays this week and his hand isnt right, I'd expect the blue boys to test it out. If Westhoffs knee isnt right, i expect your boys to run him in to the ground. Running Westhoff off his legs is a completely different thing to targeting a players injury with physical force. The AFL made the latter a reportable offense because it's an unsportsmanlike, cowardly act. I'd be embarrassed to see any of our players trying it.
