1st week of finals could easily be
Hawks v Freo - Friday night
Essendon v North - Sat arvo
Sydney v Geelong - Sat night
Port v Adel - Sunday

or maybe
Hawks v Geelong
Ess v North
Sydney v Port
Freo v Adel

or ...

either way if we make an Elim final it should probably be on a Sunday anyway considering our most likely opponents could be Port, Freo, maybe Geelong or North who all play on the Saturday and should be entitled to extra day for finishing 5th. If we finish higher than 8th well then I dont know

The ultimate finals run is for us to finish 6th, and Port 3rd…setting up a home Semi.

But i hate Port so I'd rather they finish 5th! Of the other top 4 finalists, I think our best chance would be against Geelong.

Hawks, COLA, or Freo in Perth would be a massive ask.

wouldnt mind us playing north at home from 6th and then geelong at the G! id be confident with both.. hawks G prelim if it gets that far. probably dreaming

i say leave dangerfield out last round and bring in knight. he is quality and will be a long term outside player for us with great composure/footskills

Finishing 6th is a distinct possibility - we have 3 sides we should beat at home plus away to Brisbane (not easy but achievable).

North will decide our fate for 6th if we win our next 3.

Your assumption is right. Especially if it's port coming from Perth. The extra day would be fair for them considering there ladder position.

Sunday home game is fine, 1240 start would of been better.
