Do the Eagles now fly from Sydney to Adelaide directly? or do they come back home and rest up in WA before venturing to Adelaide?

I reckon it wouldn't hurt to be based in the East Coast for 10 days or so.

I know the Saints are staying in Adelaide for Gather Round after playing Port today.

Someone on here mentioned on the Eagles board, that it might be a chance for the boys build some chemistry off-field.
Brah, let's not bemoan the decision or make assumptions on what is best regards travel of the club that has the largest travel burden (by a landslide, apart from Freo of course) of all clubs in the AFL shall we?

If i were the Eagles Id fly straight to Adelaide to prepare for next weeks game. Just me though.

One thing I've noticed with our players over the years is when the crowd turns on them and takes to hating and abusing them they never get any better. There's a long list of them, Gehrig being the exception but he had to go somewhere where he was supported.

God forbid certain overpaid senior players experience some form of discomfort when putting in repeated poor performances.

Flynn’s WAFL performance needs to be put in perspective. The East Freo starting ruck was 196cm and averaged 4 hitouts across 3 league games last year.

And we got flogged.

Just goes to show (yet again) that ruckmen aren't that important and you need midfielders able to win the contested ball more than anything.

Duggan was borderline hated for a while

Off field experiments with chemistry have rarely had successful conclusions at the mighty WCE

We are going straight to Adelaide and staying there the week.
How will this work with changes to the team?
When will players due to be dropped be sent home to play in the WAFL, or when will those considered to be brought in be flown across?
I'd imagine the players missing today's game through injury might be given more time to recover.

Well I dont really see the point of flying from Perth to Sydney back to Perth, then to Adelaide.

Same thing last season the Eagles didnt decide to stay in Adelaide when they had a game the round before Gather round. Dont really see the point of staying in Perth for 2-3 days before heading to Adelaide, when most likely they will be a bit jet lagged from flying.

Yeah, I’m assuming it will all happen on the Thursday. With a Saturday game they’ll finalise selection early and likely send guys home and guys coming in will be on the flight to get there Thursday night.

Probably be conservative with both Waterman and Hewett. Hopefully they don’t shy away from making any other changes…
