I'm not convinced that Walters would perform better if he was played under Ballantyne's position, but I would have preferred two Walters in the grand final.

Whatever you want to use as a measure - it's really a no contest.

I said it was because Ballas was missing.
Then it was Walters is a much better player and the idea that no matter what quality opposition you are on your output should be the same floated, I still think the latter is rubbish.
Then that Ballas makes Walters better again.

I'd say Breust and Puopolo are Hawks designated small forwards with Rioli more of a midfielder.

all exciting in their own way.

Interesting that Breust is being used as the measuring stick by some posters here. A significant number of Hawthorn fans have queried his form this year. Aside from the Geelong thrashing, in which the ball was coming in thick and fast, his performances have been fairly uninspiring given the standards set over the past two seasons.

It's tough to be consistent as a small forward, Breust has probably been one of the more consistent and even he has his struggles.

Well after a bit of weather a while ago now, it has been perfect weather here in Melbourne the last few days (albeit a bit cool at times). The forecast is a chance of a shower but I would say small chance - going tall this weekend on the MCG could prove a good move.

If (as I suspect) Pederson comes in, then he'll probably playa run with role on Clarke whilst also making him accountable. Same with Jamar.

I have a weird feeling Gu might miss out. Just the way Ross has talked about him in interviews lately hasn't been very encouraging.
Could be just keeping him keen I guess but he seems determined to back in Suban and Deboer at the moment and he loves Clancee.
