The Hawks travel to their second home to host the Crows fresh from their win over Carlton to kick off the "Gather Round". The Hawks went down by two points against the Giants at Norwood Oval to record their fourth loss of the season so far, although there was plenty to like for Hawthorn supporters with the impact of the next generation of potential Hawthorn star players for most of the game. One would expect that Will Day would be an automatic inclusion after he served his one week suspension in round 5.

Discussion of the game, including your changes, in here.

We were clearly lacking forward structure against GWS, bombing it to Taylor and Haynes. It isn’t fair on Ned Long to be our FF. Both Ramsden and Lynch have earnt selection rather than just being tall and can hopefully provide more aerial presence. I’d also give Mackenzie a full rest.

Ins: Ramsden, Lynch, Butler
Outs: Meek (omitted), Wingard (injured/omitted), Mackenzie (rested)

CMac or Long to sub.

In Lynch, out Meek.

Edit: In Scrimmers, out an unlucky Long, who goes to Sub and McKenzie has a run at Box Hill

Keep Wingard in unless he doesn’t recover, I think Brocky will learn invaluably from playing alongside both him and Breust, it also means Brocky will get the lesser defender.

What a shame we miss Day for both very winnable games.

Lynch's form at Box Hill has to be rewarded. Has been a level above in the VFL.

Meek needs a spell. Would love to see Rama but also happy for him to keep building in the 2's until Lewis comes back.

Want to see Frenchy back in the 22 but wouldn't be upset to see him sit out to give Long another to.
