Who is more worth keeping for another week: Taylor or King?

Both, they are still making money for next couple of weeks . Taylor had a down game but I think his job security is ok. If he did lose his spot it wouldn’t be for long.

King has solid JS.

Whilst some players may Max out you still need bench players who are playing at the end of the day.

Agree that Rankine and Sturt may be similar in that Rankine won't kick 3 each week. Pretty miraculous goals and he looked good but no small forward gets 3 or play Melbourne every week.

Correct. However I’ll happily take a bloke with rock solid job security sitting on my bench scoring 60, giving me protection if needed and making me money.

Each to their own though. Sometimes I feel that things can be overthought. Bit of course it depends on different teams priorities.

Any player can get injured at any time. I learnt my lesson by not picking Brad Crouch last season due to injury concerns.

I’m thinking I’ll need to turn 2 of McInerney, Starcevich, Buderick, Noble, Brander into Simpson & Rankine.

On a side note, I got Zerrett a couple of weeks ago and he has returned 75 & 62... Even half thought of going Zerrett -> Simpson to build up the bank... wasteful trade?

I'm hoping Rankine pulls up sore next week and they give him a week off. Help spread the rookies out a bit more. Mcpherson, Day, Simpson and Rankine all have strong arguments for being brought in.

I ended up going Brander to Day last round and having a free hit at Day’s score with Rivers not playing.

This week I’m looking at:

T. Brown — Simpson
J. McInerney — T. Kelly

Might just cop Rankine’s price rise and trade him in the week after.

Not the end of the world if we bring 1 or 2 of these guys in a week late for 150-170k

Was gonna double downgrade this week but might go one up one down. Can't fu** around this year.

Bring in Simpson upgrade starc to danger
Yep I'm not ruling out one up one down either. I need onfield points as well as cash generation. If Pittonet spuds today he may become Gawn

I guess Simpson and Rankine, and then Day and an upgrade the following week (maybe Tim Kelly or Bailey Smith at some point).

Lots of trade-out candidates:

Starcevich
Noble
Brown
McInerney
Taylor
Brander
Budarick

Bailey Smith is an absolute must get in a week or two IMO. Was averaging 106 prior to his concussion and will now possibly bottom out at say 400k.

Easy forward upgrade.

Not at all. I've already done it a couple of times this year. I hate that prices move after the second game. If you want them at bargain basement prices you only have a one game sample to go by. Assuming all play next week, I'll get Simpson and Rankine and Day the week after. Day already at $153k, so has a higher BE. His price shouldn't spike by as much.

Yeah not a fan of them changing price rises.

One factor against Simpson is that he plays first game next week. I don't like to trade before the first lockout as I like to see what my main league matchup is looking like.
On the other hand he is easy to loop on the bench if he plays first game

Any feedback on McPherson WaynesWorld19? Not being a teenager is a good starting point and the coach’s comments sound pretty positive.
Really solid & highly rated player .....injury cursed with constant hamstrings, hence why he didn't play U18 & most of the last season and half

It's because of these injury woes I'd be hesitant to take him after only one showing yesterday .......he could be fine, but he is a risk

He also only had 9 possessions versus Day's 16 possessions ......but McPherson is a CP player

The other consideration is the Crows will have a revolving door of rookies this season

Easy forward upgrade.

It will be which bargain pick up over the next 4 weeks that defines this season.
