Yeah, got my doubts.

Kicked 4 goals on the weekend for a decent score, but hasn't had more than 21 possessions yet for the season.

Aker and Welsh quiet this week too...

I was very quietly looking at Lloyd, but with Sydney and Adelaide in the next 3 weeks, he could be really, really cheap a bit down the track. ;)

Im definitely getting Heath Shaw and he will be my last upgrade for a while. These are my options....

Griffen (6th Midfielder) --> Browne.
Nicoski (Currently on the bench, but Taylor is my 7th back) --> Shaw.

OR...

Tuck/Bird (bench midfielders) --> Browne
Mattner/Jones --> Shaw.

The question is will Browne score a enough to be my 6th midfielder for 2, maybe 3 weeks?

My weak links...but who is top priority to trade out

Vince 7th Forward..B/E 90----Made 140k---Avg 75
Jones 5th Midfielder...B/E 107---Lost 5k----Avg 71
Callan 6th Midfielder...B/E 32----Made 162k----Avg 76.5
McIntosh 1/2 Ruck...B/E 75---Lost 80k---Avg 64
Simmonds? 1/2 Ruck....B/E 41---Made 100k---Avg 71

Looking at those guys...all starting atm..McIntosh equal first with Vince of should be traded out first

Only have 1.7k in bank.

Bird is most likely gonna get downgraded to a 94ker. This would leave me with 162200 in the bank.

This would allow me to potentially get

Vince:
BJ + $144600
Chappy + $51600
Steve J + $81300
Murphy + $54700

McIntosh:

Anyone from White down

So White
Fraser
Kosi
Jolly
Lade

Help
Wouldn't be looking at upgrading McIntosh until you can afford Cox, he's the only ruckman worth having at any decent sort of money IMO and in terms of winning the league, most of your opponents will have him so without him you may concede lots of points if the ruckman you choose over him has a bad week.
Simmonds is hitting form no reason to consider getting rid of him.
I'd trade Vince first as he's the most likely to lose value, and its really a matter of how much risk you want to take as to who you get. BJ looked good last round and is proven from past seasons, but do you trust he's over his injury? The more geelong players the better, and Chapman is quality.
The main advantage in taking the punt on BJ is that it'll cash you up more for later trades.

Alright guys i'm in a game that isn't supercoach, but is based on supercoach scores, so when deciding, don't take into account prices or anything, simply how they score, and how will you think they might score from here on in. Okay, which group of players would you rather have:

Group A: Cameron Ling + Cyril Rioli + Tom Hawkins
Group B: Luke Ball + Adam Schneider + Brad Fisher

And no, unfortunatly, they can't be mixed, i presently have Group B and have been offered Group A, and i'm torn, i dunno. So what do you guys think?

i'd go group B because they are older players and would be more consistent.

What are everyone's opinions on either Bock or Milburn?
Looking to upgrade Mattner to one of the two.
Currently have: Shaw, Burgoyne, Gilbee, Johncock, Bradshaw, Mattner, Taylor (Wonaeamirri & Proud)
Will get Cornes for Wonaeamirri probably 1-2 weeks after Cornes comes back leaving Taylor & Proud on bench.
Bock is obviously having a great year and am presuming he will continue while Milburn is generally Mr Reliable and close to if not already bottomed out.
Convince me fella's, which one should it be?

im considering this:

mckinley to jacky
aker to brad johnson

this gives me $267,000 in the kitty so next round i can convert bird into ball (as long as ball doesn't get over 128).

ideas?

Have you considered Mcleod or J.Mcdonald?;)

I'd go Bock over Milburn, just think he will score better throughout the season than Milburn who is also older.

Milburn and Gilbee, S.Fisher just aren't doing as well as what they have the previous couple of seasons.

Whilst this might be true, it must be noted that Milburn has an avg of 95.29, S. Fisher 93.57 and Gilbee 89.29, so it's not all bad. The main reason I am defending them is that I have all 3. ;)

Trades I'm thinking of are as follows:

This week - Out: Bird, Hill In: Browne, BJ
Next Week - Out: Porp, Rioli In: JB, Chappy

I know all 3 have been a little patchy (BJ, JB, Chappy) but their prices are too good to ignore and it would mean that I would get 3 guns in my forward line using 4 trades. Porplysia and Rioli have both been excellent and are nearly keepers but I just think the other 3 are more viable over the entire season. Thoughts anyone?

My other option is to do the following : Out - Bird, Hill In: Browne, BJ then next week Out: Callan, McKinley In: Chappy or JB, cheapy, this way I keep Rioli and Porplysia for an extra week or two to see how they are travelling. This option sounds better to me upon typing all this out. Thoughts?

This week's trades look good. I like the second option better, I don't think it's worth trading out both Rioli and Porp. And definitely Chapman over Brown. Since both options will result in the same trades this week, do this week's trades and reassess before the next round.

Can't argue with those really can you, even though Porplyzia & Rioli have been excellent the overall average at the end of the season would have to be higher for your proposed trades you would think.
If you asked anyone which group of 4 they would rather have 99 out of 100 will go with what you propose.
3 first year players + 1 very good player versus 3 proven guns (albeit having up & down seasons so far) + 1 first year.
No contest.
Just noticed your edit - agree with Supercrows.

I'm thinking of trading out porps over the next couple of weeks to either o'keefe, richo or chapman. Already have j.brown, pav, buddy so the guys I'm thinking of gettign are probably the pick of the good forwards going around wouldn't you say? ;)

Iv sat down a worked out a little plan for the next few weeks for my SC team
Would like your thoughts.
My team at the moment

Cornes, Gilbee, Johncock, Milburn, Ladson, Kennely, Ibbot (Proud, Hansen)
Hayes, Dal, Thompson, Stevens, Priddis, Palmer (Wone, Bird)
Cox, Simmonds (Kruz, Hamp)
Roo, Pav, J.Brown, Burton, Porp, Rioli, McKinley (tippet, edwards)

Trades this round
Bird --> Browne
McKinley---> Jacky

Next Rnd
Tippet ---> Chapman
Rioli---> O'Keefe

Rnd after.
Wone ---> 94k'er
Proud/Ibbo---->Mcloud/Shaw

Hopefully leaving my side looking

Cornes, Shaw, Gilbee, Milburn, Ladson, Kennely, Johncock (proud/ibbo,Hsn)
Hayes, Dal, Thompson, Stevens, Priddis, Palmer (Browne/94k'er)
Cox, Simmonds (kruz, Hamp)
Roo, Pav, Brown, Chap, O'keefe, Burton, Porp (Jacky, Edwards)

leaving me with 7 trades for injuries, finals and possible upgrades of maybe
porp/burton/palmer/stevens

I know this takes into account a good run with injuries which i havent had (priddis,Roo,Cornes) but i think its a good idea to have an idea of what you want your side to look like, a guide so i don't through away trades.
Anyways i think if i can affect this i will have a pretty strong side.

I'll say....love that backline!

Yeah my backline was terrible at the start of the season!
Nico, Proud, Pfiefer all on the ground with thompson and hansen on the bench.

Starting to come together, with those 7 left over trades hopefully i dont get two many more injuries and i can fit in a geelong mid in for palmer would be perfect.

Lads/Ladettes- this is what I've come up with so far- any thoughts/comments warmly received.

Week 1
Johnstone – Browne
Stanton– Cooney or Mitchell

Week 2
A variety of options, some more dependent on price changes than others.

McKinley- Richo/O’Keefe/Chapman (can’t think of any other forwards I need, but happy to hear suggestions- except BJ, cos I traded him a couple of weeks ago, and there’s no way I’m rehiring!)

Porplyzia/Burton– Richo/O’Keefe/Chapman

Barlow – Stiffy/McLeod/Burgoyne maybe?

Houli- Bartel or whichever out of Mitchell or Cooney I didn’t get the week before. Doubt I’ll be able to stretch it to Ablett, but I guess I’ll pop him as well just in case.

In an ideal world I could do both the forward and mid trades, but it hinges on the price changes. Alternatively I can do one this week and cash in another cow, and do another the following week. 13 trades left- I’ll be happy with 8 or 9 covering injuries.

My current team:

Backs: Heater, Gilbee, Bradshaw, NJ Brown, Wonaeamerri, Barlow, Proud (Chadly & Pfeiffer)
Mids: Corey, Judd, Dal Santo, Palmer, Stanton, Houli (Johnstone & Callan)
Rucks: Cox, Simmonds (Kreuzer, Meesen)
Fwds: Pavlich, Burton, Porplyzia, Brown, Rioli, McKinley, Gamble (Riewoldt, Tippett)

Backline is obviously at most risk, but it’s the mids and fwds where my high(er) value tradable players are, so if I can make those two areas as strong as possible then they should be able cover a little bit of shortfall from the back. When I know how many trades I’ve got left come finals time I can do a little more juggling.

Cheers.:)

Thanks for that.

Alternatively, I could go:

Out - Hill, Callan In - Chappy, Browne then
Out - McKinley, Bird In - JB or BJ, rookie

Although this way, I miss out on a little value from Callan, and BJ will go up this week for sure. The positive is I will see who performs better out of JB and BJ and this may sway me as to who is in my final 22.

So many options. This is doing my head in. Lol. I guess the main decision is whether I put my faith in Brad Johnson. He has plenty of upside but is getting on thats for sure. Also not sure how well he is going to score when Scott Welsh plays well. This week Welsh was quiet and BJ was good. He is a proven gun though and I like those types in my side. Hmmm.

Lol and further to that, if I do the BJ trade this week, then I can choose between Chappy, JB and Pav for next week. Pav is off the menu next week if I get Chappy this week. Hmmm - told you it was doing my head in. And if I don't get Pav I can always get him later with an upgrade of Porp or Rioli. My head is spinning.

If it was me id try and sure up that backline first. Upgrading N.J.Brown, Pfiefer to guns and letting Wone and Proud grow in price a little longer.

I dont know to much about johnstone's injury but if he and stanton are selected i say leave them. I know McKinley has just about maxed out trade him down, Not sure of Gamble/Callens BE but they could be used as downgrades, Pfiefer could also be downgraded for cash
the following week you should be cashed up and be able to upgrade Pfiefer/Brown/Barlow to guns.

just my 2cents, im doing a similar thing, Using my two trades this week to cash up and getting two guns next week. Will probably get beaten this week but i'll take that on the chin for the sake of a stronger team to come.

I meant to say I don't have much at all in the kitty- a bit under $80K, so while I agree with you in principle, I'm struggling a little for the folding stuff- hence the Stanton/Johnstone movement. I'm also not sure that they're going to a: increase much more in value (well they're both going to drop by the looks of it), and b: average enough over the year to be classed as keepers.

McKinley seems to have hit his peak at the moment, but the others still have room to grow in the coming weeks- will also need to hunt down some more cows to trade down to!

yeah fair enough i dont think there keepers either but not sure if they should be the first to go in your side.
Say you did Mckinley/pfiefer down grade this week and upgraded Barlow and N.J.Brown the following week that would effectivly give you around 820,000 to spend on two backs to replace barlow and N.J.Brown.
Just a thought...there are so many ways of going about it tho.

EDIT: Or you could spend say 500,000 of it on a gun back then 300,000 on upgrading say houli,rioli,tippet,palmer, gamble all of whom would be close to maxing out.

Food for thought there- will crunch some numbers.
Many thanks! :)
