Rudest/Nicest player you've met?

1983 i won a comp to be part of the grand final parade it was a great day except for one of the rudest arrogant players i have ever met:- RENE KINK

we were all lining up to get his autogragh (any other player would only be too pleased to oblige) but not rene told us all to heck off and stop farking pestering him

one of the best has been chris grant known him for a while can take a joke and takes time out to have a chat when i see him.

other good ones : mick martyn and arnold briedas for the amount of time ive known them and on the rare occassions i do see em they still know my name.

I havent had much of a chance to speak to him, but i went to a sunday footy clinic and he was acting like everyone had gone there to see him, it was pathetic.
Maybe things have changed, but from what people have told me it seems that the show 'biz'ness side of things has gotten to his head.

Nicest: Matt Robbins, Gavin Brown, Chris Tarrant, Peter Daicos.

Rudest: Nathan Brown - met him at M.Robbins house warming, snobed everyone, all the other doggies players were up for a chat.

Wayne Carey - Came to our cricket club with Stevens early last year before all the sh.it hit the wall. They were both absolutely paro Carey wanted to have a blew with a few blokes. Sh.it bloke

nicest : Mark Bickley (the nicest bloke you will EVER meet), Simon Goodwin, Matt Maguire (real funny guy), Brent Reilly (VERY quite guy but all round nice bloke), Brett Burton, Matty Smith, Jacob Schuback

rudest : Rob Shirley (real head to some little kids who wanted his autograph). Cant really think of any more, although Michael Doughty doesnt mind reving up his car engine if its to the advantage of people wishing to walk in his path

SOS and Brett Ratten are the nicest and most accomodating players I've met.

Carey had tickets on himself and was more interested in impressing the ladies who were falling over themselves to get near him than talking to fans,
Jason Trianidis was full of himself at high school, full of himself when playing for St Kilda, and is still full of himself after retiring.

I dont believe that! I went to school with him and he was my house captain. I always found him to be a real nice guy. Very hardworking and very charming! A very sweet guy! He went out with my best friends sister and even when they broke up he was as sweet to her as ever.

My old man knows him well, and I can tell you that Bizzell is far from arrogant. He is a top bloke.

Marty Mattners a Top Bloke..so's Brent Reilly...met them both after the SANFL grand final...and roger james is a mate with my cousin and is a champ aswell...also Corey Jones is a champ! also Ben Ruttens a funny guy!

When I saw Stevens he seemed like a good bloke but that may have been because I actually had something to talk to him about and struck up a conversation (in 1999/00 he played the first few games in the DVCA for Plenty and I played against him one day and hit my first ever six off him. )

Yeah Mattner and Reilly are great people.

Although, i didnt have the BEST experience with Ben Rutten. Ill tell ya the story...
After a game my brother and i were waiting outside one of the gates when this lady was asleep in the car. Some dude went up to the window, tapped on it, and told her to wake up. So being the nice sister i am, i dared my brother to repeat his actions. And thats exaclty what my brother did, but to his disgust, Ben Rutten was standing right behind him and abrubtly said ' could you please leave my mother alone'. I was so embarrased i just walked away from the scene!!!

Wouldn't surprise me if he was a ****y bastard on the competitive scale, but away from the sporting arena- personally I can say, a top bloke.
