That is what Voss said
You have claimed I am infantile and speak rubbish, others have no source and yet we give you examples of you being incorrect. Grab a mirror

Show me the link? And when did he say it? I have openly waited for people to show evidence that Carlton has completely discounted having Fev back in the team and no-one has produced anything. I checked back through Fev's tweets, and can't find your assertion, and even if there was a NEVER EVER, isn't that what squeaky clean James Hird said about coaching the Bombers?

Really? You mean the "bloody disgrace" tweet for dropping Hoops before his 200th?
no actually
Fev coming back to CFC is not a rumour
It will never happen
Some people will never accept that he was correctly given the boot
There is no point continuing this

I don't think our forward line is as bad as people have made it out to be this week, but what makes it look bad is midfielders bombing the ball forward to Eddie Betts and Jeff Garlett and expecting them to take a pack mark.

If you're going to go with a mosquito fleet forward line, then use the ball better going forward.

Hopefully Mitchell, Casboult, and McCarthy can have full pre-seasons.

Oh, and P.S., Fevola...? Yer nup. Not gunna happen. Ever.

Have heard a few times sightings of Fev at Tramp recovery around 8am on Sunday morning, don't think I'd be having him back - hardly seems committed to a return.

Ratten may have said it, but who knows what that really means.

The press would always be asking it and *if* Carlton were interested they would answer the same.

I just want a Fev type player in our forward line. Crameri was plucked and did ok and helped the Bombers team structure. He is no great shakes but can help a side structurally. We need the same, not a skinny kid.

Fev is in the past ..the club has moved on ..it seems some of our supporters haven't :o
Fev was awesome at FF and i loved his goal scoring ability ..just as i loved Sticks and Jezza when they were doing the same for Carlton ...but they have gone and so has Fev .

If we are looking for a big key forward then it won't be in that direction .

Go on Fev,

Dream, so long as it is dreaming for Carlton!

Casey general manager Brian Woodman last night told the Herald Sun he believed only club politics would deny Fevola a third crack at the big time.
"He is without a shadow of a doubt the best forward in the competition, and we don't drive the ball down Brendan's throat," Woodman said. "He should be playing AFL.

VFL football operations manager John Hook said the league had been extremely happy with Fevola's conduct.

"No one denies his football ability, and this weekend's game against the Northern Bullants he could play on Jamison and that will be a great clash," he said. "If he can keep his form up in the finals, he will attract interest.

"To the bloke's credit, he's tried to do everything right. He hasn't done the club harm as far as helping them play finals and he's been a good influence on the kids coming through there."

Didn't like this part:

Reminds me of the same cocky Fev.

Sheesh, you ignore all the good stuff and blindly guess or over analyse a couple of words. He might be being cocky but he also might be getting told he is passed it by every man and his dog, hence his comment. Point of view when reading a line of text is fraught with misunderstanding!

Obv the HS reporters missed the boat on the last Carlton Bigfooty thread but having seen this one have legs, have jumped on board to build a story :D

I'd rather read a cocky comment from Fev rather than one that sounds as though he is second guessing himself.

Who would you rather draft? A 31 year old who believes in himself that he is still capable of booting bags of goals or a 31 year old who believes that he is past his best and has little to offer?

Not saying Fev should come back one way or the other here. However, for that comment :thumbsu:

FWIW, I believe in the club to do its best and what is right regardless of the outcome come draft time.

Then there's always the one that is a terrible influence on those around him.

Or all of the above.

I really really doubt the club will draft Fevola and I am glad for it. That's not to say I wouldn't want to see him go to another club, I just feel that the way we are going, pushing for finals possibility of a top 4 finish, that he would be far too great a risk for us. Teams like Port Adelaide, Adelaide, Bulldogs, North should have a crack at him as they are either down the bottom of the ladder or struggling to make the 8. My main concern at the moment with Fev is yes he is doing everything right at the moment, yes he hasn't made headlines throughout the year but what about when he gets drafted again and the feeling of invincibility sets in again, that was Fevs main downfall he felt like he was indestructable, that he was somewhat of a god and he could never be sacked. He is already showing off his cockiness in an interview saying "haven't you seen me play the last 7 weeks" and yes I understand that it's better to believe in your ability than to lack self confidence but this isn't Fev believing in himself, this is Fevola's personality, just like it's in Fevs personality to happen to just find trouble. So IMO it's a no from me, but would love to see a team take a shot on him because if it turns out that he has some self control well then you would of hit a home-run with the Fevola recruite.

I must say, the complete lack of faith being shown in the Carlton coaching department during this Fev discussion is extremely disturbing. In various posts people seem to think:

1. The midfield and forward coach would not have the ability to instil a gameplan and forward movement philosophy that doesn't see us return to the bad old days of "kick it to Fev".

2. The forward coach would not have the ability to impress upon Fev the importance of defensive efforts inside the forward 50.

3. The Coaching staff generally and Leading Team's in particular would not have the ability to maintain the level of professionalism that has developed throughout the club since Fev left. And in fact, this new "culture" is so fragile, that one man will bring it crumbling down around their ears.

4. And finally the senior coach doesn't have the ability to bury hatchets and have meaningful dialogue with players in terms of aligning them with the overriding philosophy of the club (despite clear evidence to the contrary with the examples of AW and Thornton).

I must say, if one man is so much more powerful than all of the staff that Carlton have who are responsible for implementing and maintaining these things, then we better start looking for replacements immediately!

You miss the point.....while what you say might be true, these represent a valuable and limited resource, ones the club pay good money for....why would you want to drain a limited and valuable resource on minding a child (with a limited time in the game) when they could be putting their time towards more positive measures?

and good luck to Fev if somebody does give him a go. Never booed him at the Bears and won't if he lines up against us again. And when we win our next flag Fev would be welcome to celebrate with the team as one of many who helped the club along the path Billy Brownless style but he won't be holding up the cup on the dias
