Saw on league teams that Crawford may be out. Does anyone have any inside info? Could Birchall replace him or maybe Clarke or Rees. News anyone?

Cheers,

Chris

Well, he didn't train yesterday so I'd say he wont play...

Hard one to replace. Rees would probably top my list... but not sure if he's fast enough to deliver the football with the speed and precision we'll be lacking is Crawford doesn't play.

Birchall. Pointless bringing in Ries with Sam and Hodge both in the side. Boyle I suppose would be some chance but just seems unlikely.

Birchall didn't do a lot wrong in his first couple, was (from reports) decent last week. He's got run and disposal skills, just reckon it all points to him IF there's a late change.

Fwiw, still hoping Crawford lines up because we're still a far better side with him than without him.

Meanwhile, the Hawks say Shane Crawford is expected to play against Carlton tonight, despite missing yesterday's training session at Waverley with back-related hamstring tightness.

Crawford swam in the club pool rather than participate in the short training session.

Hawthorn football manager Mark Evans said Crawford had completed a full training session on Wednesday and was expected to play against the Blues.

Clarke is already in the selected side...for the 4th time this season! All Tim Clarke does is go out and get down and dirty with one of the opposition's running midfielders every freaking week. He turns in a pretty decent tagging job almost every week and generally works his butt off!
Yet he gets almost no credit or recognition among about half of the Hawks supporters, especially those here at BF. A large portion of this group want to see him dropped every week and replaced by someone who is struggling to get a kick at Box Hill. The rest don't even notice he was on the ground during the games. He's never going to be a star but if Hawthorn got 21 similar efforts week in and week out they would be hard to beat!

don;t forget last year rd 17 you still won when he didn;t play? it was a good game very even all game, ao could be similar tonight

Close...Blues lost by 32 pts.
Andyt30, I would like to introduce you to two very useful keys on your keyboard.
The first one, suggested in a previous thread, is the period. It is a little dot used to end a sentence and to separate thoughts and ideas. You could use a semicolon to separate thoughts and ideas, and you seem to know the location of the semicolon on your keyboard very well, but the period is a better choice. It's that little dot to the right of the comma key.
The second one is called an apostrophe. It's that little mark that looks like a comma that's lost its place and wandered up near rhe top of a word. It can pretty much be used anywhere you seem to use the semicolon. It's also easy to find, as it happens to be the key just to the right of your beloved semicolon.
One last question for you Andyt30. I still find it difficult to believe you are a Carlton supporter with those Magpie spelling skills and sentence structure directly from punt Road. Oh well, I'll accept your word for it because why would anyone lie about being a Blues backer atm? But in trying to figure this out, a question I long to ask you won't leave my mind - Do you drink alcohol before and during the time you spend typing on BF? A lot of alcohol? A boatload of alcohol? Sorry-that was 3 questions but they're related!
Thanks. BTW...Hawks won by 32 pts.;)
